SUCCESS IN SHARING THE PRO-LIFE MESSAGE: PRO-LIFE BRIDGES DAY
We’ve had a long-standing collaboration with Joe and Ann Scheidler’s organization, Pro-Life Action League, on a number of things, including Pro-Life Bridges Day. Thanks to incredible volunteers throughout Wisconsin, we were able to reach 61,900 motorists with our pro-life message. Thank you to all who helped out!
In Green Bay, our affiliate decided to get creative and bring balloons and decorations to grab the attention of motorists below – kids even brought their pool noodles to wave around! Green Bay's first-ever Pro-Life Bridges Day was wildly successful reaching nearly 25,000 motorists and receiving dozens of positive honks from truckers passing
by!
While sharing the pro-life message on the Greendale pedestrian overpass, the group was greeted by local law enforcement, an encounter we are familiar with as pro-lifers. They simply gave the standard reminder not to attach the signs to the chain-link fence, and then one of the police officers even went so far as to say that he agreed with our message. Praise God!
Our outreach in Brookfield however was met with a little more resistance as they cited a loitering ordinance in an attempt to override our first amendment free speech rights. They also mentioned that there were several complaints that were called in – our message was striking a chord. One of the officers said, “Unfortunately, because of the loitering ordinance, you are going to have to move along.” I calmly and politely told the police officer that we had a specific purpose with our presence, we had no unlawful intentions, and the number of complaints registered does not blot out
our right to free speech. The definition of loitering is to linger idly or aimlessly without lawful purpose. We offered her the legal memo from the Thomas More Society, which cited numerous Supreme Court cases, including one from Wisconsin – Ovadal v. City of Madison, guaranteeing the right to free speech, even on a bridge with a pedestrian walkway. I let her know that we were prepared to have our attorneys sort this all out, but we weren’t moving unless they threatened arrest. She left and brought back her supervisor; he knew the law and let us
remain there with no further interference. All the while, thousands of motorists were encountering the truth about abortion on the interstate below.
Pro-Life Bridges Day is just one day out of the year, but it doesn't need to stop there! If you are interested in sharing the pro-life message on a bridge near you, contact Dan.M@ProLifeWI.org – We'll ship you the signs for free and set you up for success with any legal documents you may need should an encounter occur. Thank you for your bold defense of the preborn and your presence in the fight for life!

EDUCE PRO-LIFE LEARNING PARTNERSHIP: FREE TO THE FIRST 30 REGISTRANTS
Summer is a perfect time to refresh "why" you’re pro-life! Did you know there is a pro-life educational course that strengthens, informs, and educates on the 100% pro-life position? Pro-Life Wisconsin is partnering with Educe to provide the 6 session Foundations Course COMPLETELY FREE to the first 30 people who sign up ($60 value/per person).
The Foundations Course is written for upper secondary, post-secondary, and adult audiences. It is a robust curriculum in both depth and breadth. We recommend at least 11th grade, because of the basic knowledge of American history that the courses assume people have coming in, the level at which the content is written, and the subject matter itself. Visit our website here to get started.
About Educe: Educe is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with headquarters in the Minneapolis, MN area. They are the exclusive author of the Foundations pro-life curriculum, which builds the historical, philosophical, and biblical perspectives pro-life Christians need to compassionately engage the culture and defend human life, from its earliest biological beginning to its natural end. Building this solid
foundation helps people bring a much deeper, broader, and biblically rooted understanding into the particular areas of pro-life ministry and outreach they feel called into.

PURCHASE YOUR CHOOSE LIFE WISCONSIN PLATE, AND SAVE LIVES FROM ABORTION!
Choose Life license plates have been available to Wisconsin motorists since late October 2017. Pro-Life Wisconsin and Wisconsin Family Council partnered to underwrite all the administrative costs of Choose Life Wisconsin, which allows us to give every penny that comes from the sale of the plates to Wisconsin’s incredible pregnancy care centers!
With 1,791 of these plates on cars in the Badger State, sales have resulted in a total of nearly $100,000 which has been granted to over twenty-five Wisconsin pregnancy resource centers in a little over two years.

ARE BIRTH CONTROL AND ABORTION CONNECTED? HERE ARE THE FACTS: (Live Action News) – “Author and journalist Molly Jong-Fast penned the Vogue article, “The Anti-Birth Control Movement is the New Anti-Abortion Movement,” cutting right to the chase by claiming that “Republicans have started to blur the lines between birth control and abortion in the hopes of making it harder for American women to get both birth control and abortions.” But Jong-Fast’s article fails to acknowledge that it is not “Republicans” who have blurred the lines between abortion and birth control; it is the abortion industry itself. […] Jong-Fast either
doesn’t understand or purposely ignores the fact that IUDs, emergency contraception and the birth control pill can function as abortifacients; that is, they can cause early abortions as a secondary mechanism, according to their manufacturers.” Read the full story here.
IOWA SEES DRASTIC INCREASE IN ABORTIONS FOR SECOND YEAR IN A ROW: (Live Action News) – “Data released by the Iowa Department of Health reveals that abortions in the state rose nearly 14% in 2020. This increase follows an already significant 25% jump in the number of abortions in 2019. According to the report, 4,058 abortions were committed in Iowa in 2020, a huge increase from 2,849 in 2018. These numbers are a startling rise after the state saw a 56% drop in abortions from 2008 to 2018.” Read the full story here.
