POST ABORTIVE WOMEN AND PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN AT THE OZAUKEE COUNTY FAIR
By Dan Miller, Pro-Life Wisconsin State Director – I had just checked in for my shift at the Ozaukee County Fair, unpacked my three boxes of 12-week baby models and got settled in. We had to bring more in, only a day into the fair! Kids of all ages were flocking to the booth to see the baby models.
The moms were given their teachable moment and most said something like, “That’s what you looked like when you were in my tummy when I was pregnant with you!” The kids marveled at how tiny the 12-week baby model was and one said, “She’s a tiny baby!” I responded, “Yes! Exactly! The only difference between me, you, and a baby in the womb is time and nourishment. We all grow up.”
Later that evening, I was talking with two young ladies who were also drawn in to see the baby models. It was a normal conversation. I could tell they had never really been exposed to the pro-life message at the public school they had attended, but you could definitely tell that they were both pro-life by how they were communicating. Then, suddenly, a middle-aged woman nearby who had overheard our conversation barged in and said to the younger ladies, “But you know, it’s your body, so it’s your choice.” [...] She then said, “Abortion doesn’t kill anything. Nothing is
living in there at that point.” I asked her, “At what point does life begin?”
No response, but she pivoted, “Abortion doesn’t harm anyone.”
I disagreed and said, “An abortion dismembers the baby. They rip off her arms and legs first, then they crush the skull and decapitate to get the baby out without dilating the cervix too much (takes too much time). Then they scoop everything out and throw the baby in the trash. You should google abortion and see what abortion really is.”
She said, “I’ve seen an abortion before.
It’s just a mass of tissue.”
It didn’t hit me at that time, but I came to realize she was talking about her own abortion. This is what happens when women and men don’t heal from their abortion. Misery wants company. They will justify that abortion until they are blue in the face. I’m so glad I was at that booth at that exact time. This woman needs healing and prayer. Thank you in advance for praying for this woman. She was lied to about her baby. Now she has heard the truth. The rest is up to God.
Thank you to all of you who helped organize or volunteer for the fair, especially John and Charmaine Herbert, PLW Ozaukee County leaders, and PLW intern, Emily Czaplewski! It was a tremendous success!

LAYETTE FOR LIFE DRIVE
A “Layette for Life” Drive, sponsored by the Lay Camillian Family (a lay apostolate of the Order of St. Camillus) was held at St. Camillus Retirement Living in Wauwatosa throughout the month of July. Response to the Drive was wonderful, with over $600 in monetary donations, 43 onesies, a beautiful variety of hand-knit sweater sets and hats, 33 baby outfits, a huge supply of diapers, and more! “The generosity of the St. Camillus residents was outstanding! How happy they were to support this very important need,” proclaimed Linda Fox, President of the Lay Camillian Family.
Pro-Life Wisconsin will be distributing the items to the following pregnancy resource centers in the Milwaukee area: Women’s Care Center, Women’s Support Center, and Life’s Connection. Thank you for your participation! If you would like to host a similar drive, please contact

PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN'S LOVE FOR LIFE GALA SAVE THE DATE: OCTOBER 23
|
|
|
We look forward to greeting you at our annual Love for Life Gala where we will welcome keynote speaker and abortion survivor, Claire Culwell.
When Claire met her birth mother in 2009, she was told about the attempted abortion meant to take her life and the subsequent survival of her and her twin. Claire was adopted into a loving family and says that finding out she survived an abortion never changed who she knew she was: wanted, chosen, and loved. Claire shares a hopeful message of forgiveness,
redemption, and truth – exposing the humanity of the preborn baby and how abortion hurts women. Claire is an internationally known pro-life speaker and author. She lives in Austin, TX with her family. Thank you in advance for your heroic defense of the preborn by supporting us through this event. We thank you, the babies thank you, and most importantly, “Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.” St. Matthew 25:40

EDUCE PRO-LIFE LEARNING PARTNERSHIP: FREE TO THE FIRST 30 REGISTRANTS
Summer is a perfect time to refresh "why" you’re pro-life! Did you know there is a pro-life educational course that strengthens, informs, and educates on the 100% pro-life position? Pro-Life Wisconsin is partnering with Educe to provide the 6 session Foundations Course COMPLETELY FREE to the first 30 people who sign up ($60 value/per person).
The Foundations Course is written for upper secondary, post-secondary, and adult audiences. It is a robust curriculum in both depth and breadth. We recommend at least 11th grade, because of the basic knowledge of American history that the courses assume people have coming in, the level at which the content is written, and the subject matter itself. Visit our website here to get started.
About Educe: Educe is a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization with headquarters in the Minneapolis, MN area. They are the exclusive author of the Foundations pro-life curriculum, which builds the historical, philosophical, and biblical perspectives pro-life Christians need to compassionately engage the culture and defend human life, from its earliest biological beginning to its natural end. Building this solid
foundation helps people bring a much deeper, broader, and biblically rooted understanding into the particular areas of pro-life ministry and outreach they feel called into.

The 228 signatories consist of 44 senators and 184 House members representing 40 states, including Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy. The brief comes just days after GOP Senators Ted
Cruz, Josh Hawley, and Mike Lee filed their own separate brief arguing that Roe v. Wade is invalid.
