HAPPY LABOR DAY!
Pro-Life Wisconsin and its staff would like to wish you a relaxing and peaceful Labor Day! We can thank the 22nd and 24th President Grover Cleveland, the only president who served two non-consecutive terms who first signed this day into law for the District of Columbia and all of her territories on June 28, 1894.Having grown up on a farm, Labor Day was always a bit of an oxymoron for us. It seemed we never got a day off. Murphy’s Law almost always dashed our hopes of not working on Labor Day. If the weather was still decent, it meant cutting up a third crop of alfalfa, baling, and storing it in the upper barn.Labor Day also used to signal the beginning of school the following day, at least for those in Walworth County. The Elkhorn School District holds out to this day for a post-Labor Day start date. Farming had a lot of influence back in the “hay-days” of Wisconsin. Many school districts had already pushed up the calendar in other less agrarian Wisconsin counties, starting school sometimes as early as mid-August.We would like to thank you for all you do to keep the vigil candle burning. We all know firsthand the maddening pace at which
this presidential administration wants to snuff out any semblance of protection for innocent preborn human life. The good things pro-lifers have labored furiously for over the years are in great peril. I know much of it seems insurmountable, especially when we are dealing with what some would say is an oligarchical federal government. They are in a frenzy for a power grab these last two years, but as we know as pro-lifers, this is when we begin to fight! That’s why we are Marching for Life in Wisconsin on October 2, 2021. The die has been cast. The decision has been made. We have stepped over the line. We won’t look back, let up, slow down, back away, or be still. We will not flinch in the face of sacrifice, hesitate in the
presence of adversity, negotiate at the table of the enemy, ponder at the pool of popularity, or meander in the maze of mediocrity. I won't give up, shut up, let up, or slow up until I have stayed up, stored up, prayed up, paid up, and spoken up for the cause of Christ. Because this is when we begin to fight. Join us!

REGISTRATION IS OPEN! 2021 LOVE FOR LIFE GALA
|
|
|
We look forward to greeting you at our annual Love for Life Gala on Saturday, October 23, where we will welcome keynote speaker and abortion survivor, Claire Culwell.
When Claire met her birth mother in 2009, she was told about the attempted abortion meant to take her life and the subsequent survival of her and her twin. Claire was adopted into a loving family and says that finding out she survived an abortion never changed who she knew she was: wanted, chosen, and loved. Claire
shares a hopeful message of forgiveness, redemption, and truth – exposing the humanity of the preborn baby and how abortion hurts women. Claire is an internationally known pro-life speaker and author.
Thank you in advance for your heroic defense of the preborn by supporting us through this event. We thank you, the babies thank you, and most importantly, “Amen I say to you, as long as you did it to one of these my least brethren, you did it to me.” St. Matthew 25:40
Sponsorship opportunities are available. Please contact Michele Grall, Development Director, at 262-796-1111 ext. 115 or Michele.G@ProLifeWI.org for information.

VACCINE ETHICS AND EXEMPTIONS
In 2020, the national Personhood Alliance (PA) published its official position on vaccine ethics, the culmination of two months of work by PA affiliate representatives from eight states, both Catholic and Evangelical, and independent physician reviewers including Alan B. Moy, MD, President and Scientific Director of the John Paul II Medical Research Institute. Our position was formally approved by the PA Board of Directors and subsequently by the Pro-Life Wisconsin Board of Directors. Pro-Life Wisconsin is an affiliate member of the PA.
The Personhood Alliance vaccine ethics position begins with 10 foundational tenets, each individually sourced. Our position can be found here. If you are in need of a religious exemption form or letter template, please visit our website here to download the necessary forms.

THE INCREDIBLE TRUTH ABOUT WHAT PREBORN BABIES CAN HEAR, SEE, AND DO (LiveAction) – “Live Action’s Baby Olivia project highlights the remarkable journey of life that takes place before birth. Not only does Baby Olivia show how preborn children develop physically, she can offer a glimpse into how they development mentally. Brain wave activity first begins at just over six weeks post-fertilization, and as a preborn child’s brain develops in the womb, she will learn the sound of her mother’s voice, and even her parents’ musical taste.” SELLING SEX IN SCHOOLS: WHO’S BEHIND THE SEX ED BEING TAUGHT TO OUR CHILDREN? (LiveAction) – “Young. Powerful. Taking over. That’s the slogan of Advocates for Youth (AFY), a non-profit organization with a benevolent-sounding name. What, exactly, are
they “taking over”? If the organization has its way, and if it is allowed to proceed on its current trajectory, it will be taking over the sex-ed curriculum at your child’s school.”
