PRO-LIFE WISCONSINITES MARCH FOR LIFE
IN WASHINGTON D.C.

Nearly 150 Pro-Life Wisconsinites braved the snow, cold, and D.C. covid restrictions to boldly advocate for the lives of our preborn brothers and sisters at the annual March for Life in Washington D.C. Friday.

Three buses of determined pro-lifers left from Saint Mary's Visitation Parish on Wednesday, January 19, sleeping overnight on the bus as our bus drivers braved the wintery road conditions. Upon arrival, many pilgrims attended the Vigil Mass for Life at the Basilica of the National Shrine of the Immaculate Conception where Archbishop William Lori emphasized the importance of the upcoming U.S. Supreme Court Decision, the need to love and care for pregnant mothers, and the call to care for post-abortive men and women.

On Friday, Pro-Life Wisconsinites gathered with tens of thousands of pro-lifers from around the nation for the March for Life Rally and March. The crowd, which can be seen here, was optimistic, marching in prayer, song, and cheers for the end to abortion.

Saturday morning, members of Pro-Life Wisconsin prayed and sidewalk counseled outside the local D.C. Planned Parenthood. Thanks be to God, a baby was saved from abortion! The couple who chose life remarked to a Pro-Life Wisconsin sidewalk counselor, "We changed our minds, we’re not doing it!"

Thank you to all you attended the March for Life this year and sacrificed so much to be a voice for the most marginalized persons in our society. We pray that one day our March for Life will be one of celebration, rejoicing in the full legal protection of the preborn!
