PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN MOURNS THE PASSING OF FORMER STATE REPRESENTATIVE DAN LEMAHIEU
Pro-Life Wisconsin (PLW) is heartbroken to learn that former State Representative Daniel Roy LeMahieu of Cascade, formerly of Oostburg, died on Friday at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. We pray for Dan’s eternal soul, his loving wife Rosemary, and all his children and grandchildren. We extend our deepest condolences to his second son, State Senator Devin LeMahieu. We give thanks to Dan LeMahieu for his twelve years of dedicated and effective service to the pro-life cause in our State Capitol. A two-time PLW Legislator of the Year award winner, Dan was a consistent and ardent defender of all human life in Madison. He was a sponsor of the Wisconsin Personhood Amendment, legislation that would extend the inalienable right to life already found in the Wisconsin Constitution to all preborn children from conception. Most notably, Dan was the author of the 2005 UW Morning-After Pill Ban, legislation that would have prohibited the UW System from advertising, prescribing, or dispensing the morning-after pill on its statewide campuses. Against all odds, he courageously and successfully led the fight for the bill’s passage on the Assembly floor, an effort for which he gained national recognition by the secular and Christian press including the Fox Evening News and the Rush Limbaugh show. After Dan’s retirement from the Wisconsin Assembly, he poured his time, energy, and talent into Anchor of Hope pregnancy resource center, serving as development director and then board chairman. His love for life and family was inspirational, and his wisdom, passion, humor, and humility made him a joy to be around. We will miss him dearly. Thank you, Dan, for fighting the good fight, finishing the race, and keeping the faith! A funeral service to celebrate Dan's life will be held at Bethel OPC in Oostburg on Saturday, February 26, 2022, at 11:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Oostburg Cemetery. A live stream of the funeral service can be found by visiting wenig.live/DanLeMahieu. Relatives and friends may greet the family at Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Friday, February 25, from 3:00 until 7:00 p.m. and again at church on Saturday from 9:30 a.m.
until the time of service at 11:00 a.m. Memorials in Dan's name are appreciated to Anchor of Hope, Pro-Life Wisconsin, and Oostburg Christian School.

Help save lives by praying to end abortion in your community during the 40 Days for Life Spring Campaign March 2 - April 10, 2022. Since the founding in 2007, 40 Days for Life campaigns have saved 20,728 babies that we know of through prayer, fasting, a peaceful vigil outside of local abortion facilities. Commit to a prayer time with friends, family, or call us if you'd like a member of our Pro-Life Wisconsin staff to join you! If you or your campaign is in need of signs, we can ship you one or as many as you need. Please go to a campaign near you and get involved. View Wisconsin locations here.
40 Clergy, 40 Days: In past years, the presence of clergy has proven a very powerful witness and has influenced many women to choose life outside of abortion facilities! Our goal is to have one priest, deacon, or religious praying every day of the campaign for one hour. If you are a clergy member and would like to commit to one hour of prayer outside the local abortion facility, please sign up here. If you would like a member of our Pro-Life Wisconsin staff to join you on the sidewalks, let us know! Call 262.796.1111 or email info@prolifewi.org.

U.S. SENATE TO VOTE ON LEGALIZING ABORTION-ON-DEMAND, CODIFYING ROE V. WADE: (LifeSiteNews) – “On February 28, the Democrat-controlled U.S. Senate will vote on legislation that would enshrine abortion-on-demand in federal law,
forcing states to allow the practice to go on virtually unregulated regardless of what the U.S. Supreme Court may say about Roe v. Wade […] However, the vote is likely to be little more than a symbolic gesture for Democrats’ left-wing base, since the Senate is evenly divided between Republicans and Democrats, and therefore would need at least ten Republicans to join every Democrat for it to pass under current rules.” Read the full story here.
THE ABORTION PILL IS NOT SAFER THAN TYLENOL. IT HAS KILLED DOZENS OF WOMEN AND INJURED THOUSANDS: (LifeNews.com) – “Bloomberg ran a headline this week claiming that the abortion drug is ‘safer than Tylenol,’ even though the facts prove otherwise. Millions of unborn babies have been killed with the abortion drug mifepristone, or RU-486, since its approval under the Clinton administration. Today, it is used for about 39 percent of all abortions in the U.S., according to the Guttmacher Institute. The FDA has linked the abortion drug to at least 24 women’s deaths and 4,000 serious complications between 2000 and 2018 […] Now, the number of unborn babies killed with the drug is expected to grow even more after the Biden administration, last year, began allowing abortion businesses to sell it through
the mail without ever even seeing the pregnant mother.” Read the full story here.
NFL PLAYER WINS SUPER BOWL, THEN RACES TO BIRTH OF HIS CHILD: ‘It was a great day’: (Live Action) – “Los Angeles Rams player Van Jefferson had more than just a Super Bowl victory to celebrate last Sunday — he also welcomed the birth of his new son. According to ABC News, Van’s wife, Samaria, went into labor during the middle of the game and was seen leaving the stadium on a stretcher shortly after halftime. Samaria later explained on the TODAY show that her contractions started earlier that day, but they were spaced far enough apart that she wasn’t concerned.” Read the full story here.
