40 DAYS FOR LIFE: 6 BABIES SAVED
IN MILWAUKEE ON FRIDAY!

(40 Days for Life) God saved so many babies in Milwaukee, Wisconsin this past Friday that Dan Miller momentarily lost track, but when he had a chance to review his notes, Dan reported that 6 babies were saved from abortion in a single day!

The first mom to choose life only stayed inside the abortion facility for three minutes before she left, telling Dan and his team, "This isn't right. I can't do it."

By the end of the day, 5 more lives were spared, bringing Milwaukee's total now to 20 in 20 days! Praise God!

When a friend repeatedly invited Dan to participate in the Cream City's 40 Days for Life vigil a decade ago, Dan replied that he'd rather have all four wisdom teeth pulled at the same time--without any medication. Dan was so creeped out by the abortion facility that he refused to drive by it going through town. Finally, he agreed to pray for one hour--but said he would never, ever return to the vigil again. God had other plans. Since then, Dan has helped save more than 1,500 babies.

Join us in praying for an end to abortion, and sign up to participate in the 40 Days for Life Fall Vigil (September 23 - November 1)! Wisconsin locations include Appleton, Green Bay, Madison, Manitowoc, Milwaukee, Sheboygan, and Waukesha.

Consider inviting your bishop, priest, or pastor to come pray with you! When clergy and religious join us on the sidewalks to pray, babies are saved 100% of the time! Our goal is to have one clergy member praying every day for one hour - 40 Clergy, 40 Days.
BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER

Every year, Pro-Life Wisconsin partners with churches throughout the state and holds a Baby Bottle Campaign through our Helping Both: Pregnancy Support Program. However, because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we’re moving the physical baby bottle campaign to a virtual baby bottle campaign. You can give online and help countless moms and their beautiful babies.

Crisis pregnancies happen all the time whether there is a pandemic or not but especially now, women need a supportive community to choose life for their preborn baby. The temptation of abortion is even greater in these difficult times. Sadly, many women are vulnerable in a crisis pregnancy to pursue an abortion.

We know that moms choose life because of the help that they receive from PLW’s Helping Both: Pregnancy Support Program. We work with local Pregnancy Resource Centers to save the life of the baby and heal the hearts of hurting moms. Helping Both fills the gap and changes lives.

We know that in this time, unemployment has affected families and limited their access to childcare, and education. It has stretched family resources and their ability to pay rent and/or their monthly bills. Our Helping Both Program fills the gap for families and gives the hope that moms in crisis pregnancies so desperately need. Your financial support means you are there for moms and their babies after birth too. Through the Helping Both Program, families have received food, gas, baby clothes, rent assistance, appliances, and financial assistance for their education. These are just a few of the ways this program has made a difference in the lives of pregnant moms in crisis.

Your generosity in this virtual baby bottle campaign provides the financial resources to continue supporting families in need. Please give generously today!

PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN SIGNS COALITION LETTER SUPPORTING THE CONFIRMATION OF AMY CONEY BARRETT TO THE U.S. SUPREME COURT

As Senate Judiciary Committee hearings for the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett begin today, Pro-Life Wisconsin is proud to have joined over 200 prominent leaders in signing the following letter:

Dear Members of the U.S. Senate and the Senate Committee on the Judiciary:

We, the undersigned, write to offer our full support for the confirmation of Judge Amy Coney Barrett to the United States Supreme Court. It is not often that such a broad community of stakeholders, representing freemarket, family, faith, education, business, and judicial interests comes together to speak with a clear and singular voice. Now is such a time. Because of the judicial philosophy she embraces, the confirmation of Judge Barrett is of critical importance both to our country and to future generations of Americans.

We believe a judiciary that rules based on the plain text of the Constitution and the law is essential to preserve the functioning of our governmental and social institutions. Judges who inject their own policy views into their decisions are not upholding the rule of law—they are creating new laws. We elect you, our senators, to do that. Judges have no legitimate hand in such business.

After a careful and thorough review of Judge Barrett’s work as a law professor, scholar, and Seventh Circuit judge, we firmly believe she possesses the judicial temperament and philosophy necessary to act as a bulwark for our Constitution and institutions of government. Specifically, we trust Judge Barrett, if confirmed to the Supreme Court, will:
  • Respect the Constitution
  • Protect our freedoms
  • Defend the separation of powers
  • Interpret the law as written
  • Not legislate from the bench

We therefore ask the members of the Judiciary Committee to favorably report Judge Barrett’s nomination to the Senate Floor. Likewise, we urge each senator to vote to confirm this highly qualified judge to the Supreme Court.

DID YOU KNOW...

On March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law. The CARES Act increases tax deductions for charitable donations for both individuals and corporations for tax year 2020. You may wish to consider the following provisions when determining your charitable giving this year:

Individuals who do not itemize their tax deductions may take a new "above the line" charitable deduction of $300 per taxpayer ($600 for a married couple). An "above the line" deduction reduces a donor's adjusted gross income and thereby reduces taxable income.

Individuals who do itemize may deduct donations up to 100% of their 2020 AGI, up from the previous limit of 60%.

Corporations may deduct up to 25% of taxable income, up from the previous limit of 10%.

To qualify for these special deductions, contributions must be made during tax year 2020. Payments on outstanding pledges also qualify, provided the payment is made in 2020.

PRO-LIFE NEWS

ARE YOU PRO-LIFE BUT WON’T VOTE FOR TRUMP? HERE’S WHY YOU SHOULD VOTE FOR HIM ANYWAY: (LifeSiteNews, by Dan Zeidler) – “The presidential election must not be about personalities, not about less-than-perfect lives, not about disagreeable tweets and crude comments. This election is about what kind of country you, your children and grandchildren will live in, what kind of policies and principles that will affect us way into the future. President Donald Trump, along with his administration, has done more than any other U.S. president in history to implement public policies in support of the unborn…” Read the full op-ed here.

NO, PRESIDENT TRUMP’S REGENERON THERAPY DID NOT CONTAIN HUMAN EMBRYONIC STEM CELLS: (LifeNews.com, by David Prentice, Ph.D., and Tara Sander Lee, Ph.D., of the Charlotte Lozier Institute [CLI]) – “Uninformed commentary has emerged this morning stating that President Trump has received a medication created with the use of human embryonic stem cells. CLI has reviewed the published information and our conclusion is straightforward: The president was not given any medicines to treat COVID-19 that involved the destruction of human life. No human embryonic stem cells or human fetal tissue were used to produce the treatments President Trump received–period.” Read the full op-ed here.

TRUMP DENOUNCES ABORTIONS ON CHILDREN WITH DOWN SYNDROME: THEY ARE ‘WORTHY OF LIFE’: (Live Action News) – “President Donald Trump affirmed the humanity of children with disabilities in a recent presidential message released by the White House to coincide with National Down Syndrome Awareness Month this October. Individuals with Down syndrome may experience physical and mental challenges as a result of an extra or partial chromosome 21. Regardless of these difficulties, surveys of people with the condition have found that 99% of them are happy with their lives.” Read the full story here.
