HISTORIC MARCH FOR LIFE WISCONSIN

Thank you for joining us in Madison this last Saturday for the annual March for Life Wisconsin! Nearly 1,000 pro-life Wisconsinites took the time from their busy days to join us in the fight for life! Thank you! As Pro-Life Wisconsin State Director, Dan Miller said in his introductory talk, “We are here to make certain that our elected officials hear it loud and clear—we will never go back to a time where babies are torn out of the wombs of their mothers by abortion! WE WILL NEVER GO BACK!”

As pro-life Wisconsinites hiked up the steps to march around the capitol, Dan Miller thanked the marchers individually, shaking hands and bumping fists. One common message, especially among the youth, was, “Thank you for doing this! It is so needed, still! Some of my friends think that we are done now, but the fight has only just begun!” This is coming from our youth! They get it! This is truly the beginning of the end of abortion. There is a lot more work to do, and Pro-Life Wisconsin is doing that work!

Thank you to all our fantastic speakers including Father Rick Heilman, U.S. Representative Glenn Grothman, Cindy Werner, State Representative Chuck Wichgers, Jayda Bushor, Andy Bath Esq, Albany Rose Saindon, and Steve Karlen. Also thank you to our awesome Pro-Life Wisconsin staff who made the event possible!

See you next year at the Wisconsin State Capitol for our third annual March for Life Wisconsin on Saturday, June 24, 2023, to commemorate the Dobbs v. Jackson Women’s Health decision that overturned Roe v. Wade this year, on June 24, 2022! Mark your calendars!

PRO-LIFE NEWS

MARCH FOR LIFE DRAWS BOTH SUPPORT AND COUNTER PROTESTS: (WKOW Channel 27 Madison) –Pro-Life demonstrators from across Wisconsin marched for life in the Capitol City Saturday. The organization provided participants bus rides to the State Capitol from as close as Janesville and as far as Green Bay. State Director of Pro-Life Wisconsin, Dan Miller, said the Supreme Court's decision to overturn Roe v. Wade was one he and others worked and prayed for, for many years. So, this year's March for Life is a celebration. ‘This is the beginning of the end of abortion,’ Miller said.” Watch the news coverage here.

TIM MICHELS NOW SAYS HE WOULD BACK LEGISLATION ALLOWING ABORTIONS IN CASE OF RAPE AND INCEST DESPITE DECADES OF OPPOSITION: (Milwaukee Journal Sentinel) –“Republican candidate for governor Tim Michels now says he would sign legislation creating exceptions to Wisconsin's abortion law for rape and incest, despite opposing such exceptions for at least two decades and saying as recently as this month that he would not change his position. Michels, who is narrowly trailing Democratic incumbent Gov. Tony Evers in recent polling, told conservative radio show host Dan O'Donnell on Friday he would sign a bill creating such exceptions to the state's 1849 law that bans all abortions unless the mother's life is in danger.” Read the full story here.

CATHOLIC LEADERS PAN BIDEN’S ABORTION ADVOCACY AFTER STATEMENT ON RAPE, INCEST EXCEPTIONS: (Live Action) – “Catholic leaders are responding to President Biden after he claimed that the Church doesn’t oppose legislative exceptions for rape and incest. His Thursday comments came as criticism of Sen. Lindsey Graham’s (R-S.C.) 15-week ban, which actually does contain exceptions despite what Biden suggested […] But the Catholic Church has repeatedly affirmed the inviolable dignity of human life and it’s unclear why Biden is implying it favors exceptions. The Catholic Catechism states: ‘Since the first century the Church has affirmed the moral evil of every procured abortion. This teaching has not changed and remains unchangeable.’ Cardinal Wilton Gregory reportedly said, ‘The Catholic Church teaches, and has taught, that life — human life — begins at conception’ and that ‘the president is not demonstrating Catholic teaching.’” Read the full story here.

FBI RAIDS HOME OF CATHOLIC PRO-LIFE SPEAKER, AUTHOR WITH GUNS DRAWN AS HIS TERRIFIED KIDS WATCH: (LifeSiteNews) – “A well-known pro-life author, sidewalk counselor, and father of seven was the latest victim of a U.S. Department of Justice-sponsored SWAT raid and arrest — for supposed ‘FACE Act’ violations — at his rural home as his children looked on ‘screaming.’” Read the full story here.

STACEY ABRAMS STUNS WITH CLAIM THAT PRENATAL HEARTBEATS ARE ‘MANUFACTURED’ TO CONTROL WOMEN: (Live Action) – “Pro-abortion politician Stacey Abrams is making headlines, this time for her claims about preborn children’s heartbeats. As Roe v. Wade has fallen, many states have implemented laws protecting preborn children from abortion after a heartbeat can be detected — but according to Abrams, there is no such thing as a prenatal heartbeat at six weeks; instead, it is something pro-life activists made up to control women.” Read the full story here.
