SPRING PRIMARY ELECTION ONE WEEK AWAY
VOTE NOW OR ON ELECTION DAY

Wisconsin’s spring primary election is fast approaching. It will be held next Tuesday, February 21, 2023. You may vote NOW (absentee in person or absentee by mail) or on ELECTION DAY.
Learn about where you should vote and who is on your local ballot here.

The Pro-Life Wisconsin (PLW) Victory Fund PAC proudly endorses the following two candidates who recognize the inherent and inviolable dignity of every human being from conception to natural death.

WISCONSIN SUPREME COURT
Daniel Kelly (Former Wisconsin Supreme Court Justice 2016-2020)

WISCONSIN STATE SENATE (District 8)
State Representative Janel Brandtjen (R-Menomonee Falls)

Exercise your right to vote and encourage your family and friends to do the same. Vote for life, NOW or on ELECTION DAY. May God bless Wisconsin!

What’s at stake in the Wisconsin Supreme Court race?

Wisconsin’s current law abortion ban, s.940.04, is being challenged in our state court system by pro-abortion Democrat Attorney General Josh Kaul. If we lose our tenuous 4-3 conservative majority on the state supreme court, a new liberal, activist court will likely rule s.940.04 unenforceable, restoring abortion on demand in Wisconsin. Even worse, a liberal supreme court could find a right to abortion in our state constitution, thus overturning all our pro-life laws. We cannot let this happen! Justice Kelly is the only candidate in this race with a proven record of judicial conservatism, and therefore the only candidate we trust. His belief in the dignity of the human person makes him the only choice for pro-life voters. We are extremely proud to endorse him.

What’s at stake in the Wisconsin State Senate race?
There is currently an effort by some legislative leaders to weaken Wisconsin’s current law abortion ban, s.940.04, by adding exceptions for rape and incest and possibly allowing abortions in the first trimester. Although such legislation has not yet publicly surfaced, it is a real possibility. We vehemently oppose such a move. The Wisconsin Legislature should be strengthening our abortion ban, not watering it down! State Representative Janel Brandtjen will help hold the line in the Wisconsin Senate, always working for the total protection of every preborn baby. We are extremely proud to endorse her.
40 DAYS FOR LIFE SPRING CAMPAIGN
BEGINS NEXT WEDNESDAY!

Since their founding in 2007, 40 Days for Life campaigns have saved 22,829 babies through prayer, fasting, and peaceful vigil outside of local abortion facilities. While abortion is illegal here in Wisconsin, abortion-bound women continue to visit local Planned Parenthood facilities and community "health" centers to obtain contraception and information on the procurement of abortion. Our work is not done!

We invite you to commit to prayer time on the sidewalks outside these facilities during this Spring campaign, February 22-April 2. Bring your friends and family, or call us if you'd like a member of our Pro-Life Wisconsin staff to join you. If you or your campaign is in need of signs, we can ship you one or as many as you need.
Please go to a campaign near you and get involved. Current cities include Green Bay, Madison, Milwaukee, Sheboygan, and Waukesha.
40 Clergy, 40 Days: In past years, the presence of clergy has proven a very powerful witness and has influenced many women to choose life outside of abortion facilities! Our goal is to have one priest, deacon, or religious praying every day of the campaign for one hour. Sign up online here. If you are a clergy member and would like to commit to one hour of prayer outside these facilities, email our Outreach Director at Celia.B@ProLifeWI.org or call 262.796.1111 ext. 114.

PRO-LIFE NEWS

BIDEN ADMINISTRATION BRACES FOR RULING THAT COULD BAN ABORTION PILLS: (Politico) – “Doctors and advocates are urging people to pre-order and stockpile abortion pills while they still can in the face of a looming court decision that could wipe out access to the drugs nationwide. District Court Judge Matthew Kacsmaryk in Amarillo, Texas, could either strike down the FDA’s decades-old decision to approve mifepristone — the first of two pills used to end a pregnancy — or roll back more recent agency decisions making the pills available via telemedicine, mail delivery and pharmacy pickup. […] The lawsuit from the anti-abortion legal powerhouse Alliance Defending Freedom, representing a group of doctors and conservative medical groups, targets the FDA’s two-decade old approval of mifepristone, arguing that the agency didn’t adequately study the safety risks of the drug.” Read the full story here.

DOCTORS, HEALTH CARE GROUPS PUSH BACK ON FDA ATTEMPTS TO JUSTIFY ILLEGAL APPROVAL OF CHEMICAL ABORTION DRUGS: (Alliance Defending Freedom) – “Four national medical associations and four doctors experienced in caring for pregnant and post-abortive women filed a brief Friday in federal court that pushes back on the Food and Drug Administration’s arguments against withdrawing or suspending its approval of chemical abortion drugs that harm women and girls. In November, Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys filed suit against the agency on behalf of the Alliance for Hippocratic Medicine, the American Association of Pro-Life Obstetricians and Gynecologists, the American College of Pediatricians, the Christian Medical & Dental Associations, and doctors Shaun Jester, Regina Frost-Clark, Tyler Johnson, and George Delgado.” Read the full press release here.

ALBERTA SEES 40% INCREASE IN ASSISTED DEATHS OVER ONE YEAR: (Live Action) – “As euthanasia continues to skyrocket across Canada, figures recently released from one province show just how serious the problem has become. The Alberta Health Services statistics show a staggering rise in assisted suicide deaths, with an over 40% increase from 2021 to 2022. 594 deaths were attributed to Medical Assistance in Dying (MAiD) in 2021, and 836 in 2022. But even more drastic is the increase since MAiD was legalized in 2016; that year, there were just 63 deaths in Alberta. Since then, MAiD deaths have increased by a whopping 1226%.” Read the full story here.

MARK HOUCK PRAYS OUTSIDE PHILADELPHIA ABORTUARY WITH ENTIRE FAMILY AFTER HIS ACQUITTAL: (LifeSiteNews) – “Weeks after he was acquitted of two federal charges over a minor altercation with a Planned Parenthood ‘escort’ outside a Philadelphia abortion facility, pro-life Catholic sidewalk counselor Mark Houck and his entire family returned to the same abortuary to pray. Photos shared with LifeSiteNews show Houck outside Planned Parenthood’s Elizabeth Blackwell Health Center on Locust Street in Philadelphia with his family and a crowd of other pro-life advocates. In comments to The Daily Signal, Houck said he and his family went to the clinic ‘because this is what we do.’” Read the full story here.
