SPRING SOCIAL SUCCESS DESPITE MADISON BUSINESS ATTEMPT TO THWART

Thank you to all who joined us for the first-ever Spring Social last Thursday, April 27! And congratulations to Senator Julian Bradley, recipient of the 2023 Pro-Life Wisconsin Legislator of the Year award, for his courageous and optimistic pro-life voice in the State Senate!

As many are aware, the location of the event changed last minute. This occurred due to a released email from our former venue, The Great Dane, in response to a pro-abortion activist:

"Thank you for caring enough about this issue to share your feelings. It is an awkward situation.

The Dane certainly does not share the values of the Pro Life group that we will be hosting. In fact, this very group has posted complaints about how progressive our company is. We plan on making a sizable donation to either NARAL or PPWI or both the day after the event. The donation will be larger than the amount that the group spends at the Dane. (I would prefer if you didn't post that, but wanted you to know about it.)

Would you like to speak with me about this? If so, I would be happy to talk. Let me know.

Sincerely, Eliot
Eliot Butler
President
Great Dane Pub & Brewing Company
608.284.0000"

The above email was indeed shared with us, and Pro-Life Wisconsin immediately decided to terminate our contract, find a new venue, and communicate the change to all of you. Pro-Life Wisconsin does not back down in the face of spite or attempts to subvert our mission. Thank you for your flexibility as our staff worked diligently to find a solution.

We encourage all Pro-Life Wisconsinites to refrain from patronizing The Great Dane. A business that openly celebrates the barbarism of the abortion industry, the dismemberment of babies, and the violent killing of innocent preborn children has no place in Wisconsin. If you'd like to make an honorary gift to Pro-Life Wisconsin and counteract pro-abortion attempts to outspend our cause, donate here today.

When you give, Pro-Life Wisconsin will send a beautiful card of roses to let her know that you are thinking of her and praying for her during this month of May! All donations collected, directly fund Pro-Life Wisconsin's efforts to assist Wisconsin moms, dads, and families in need.

PRO-LIFE NEWS

INFAMOUS LATE-TERM ABORTIONIST LEROY CARHART DIES: (LifeSiteNews) – “LeRoy Carhart, the late-term Nebraska abortionist responsible for the deaths of 30,000 innocent babies, has died. The notorious doctor died at 5:30 on Friday morning, ending his lengthy career of murdering unborn children in their mother’s wombs. Carhart founded an organization dedicated to committing abortions, which established two ‘C.A.R.E.’ killing centers, one in Bethesda, Maryland, and one in Bellevue, Nebraska.” Read the full story here.

ORAL ARGUMENTS SCHEDULED IN WISCONSIN ABORTION CASE: (Wisconsin State Journal) – “Oral arguments over whether to dismiss Democrats’ lawsuit challenging Wisconsin’s near-complete abortion ban are set for May 4, more than 10 months after Attorney General Josh Kaul first filed the case. While the Dane County Circuit Court judge presiding over the lawsuit can rule from the bench that day, it’s possible that her decision on whether to allow the case to continue won’t come out until the summer, dragging the case out to the year mark. Democrats filed the lawsuit days after the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade, activating an abortion ban first passed in 1849, though it has been amended several times since then.” Read the full story here.

DONALD TRUMP COMMITS TO SIGNING LAW PROTECTING BABIES FROM ABORTIONS: “WE’LL GET SOMETHING DONE”: (LifeNews.com) – “Former President Donald Trump has committed to signing a 15-week abortion ban or something similar to protect babies from abortions in Democrat states that currently allow abortions up to birth. On the campaign trail in New Hampshire, Trump said he would seriously look at some sort of bill to ban late or late-term abortions nationwide. Such a bill would leave in place pro-life states in the states that currently protect babies from abortions but would at least protect some babies from abortions in those blue states that allow unlimited abortion. ‘We’ll get something done where everyone is going to be very satisfied,’ he said, adding that he would be ‘looking at a lot of different options’ if he is re-elected president. ‘I think we’ll get it done on some level, it could be on different levels, but we’re gonna get it done. I know the issue very well. I think I know the issue better than most and we will get that taken care of,’ Trump added.” Read the full story here.
