Thank you for making it a successful LOVE FOR LIFE GALA!
|
|
|
Thank you to the over 400 pro-lifers who came out to hear Dr. Anthony Levatino speak last Thursday night at Pro-Life Wisconsin's annual Gala! His powerful testimony spoke volumes to our situation here in Wisconsin with abortions being performed again in Milwaukee and Dane Counties, and we step forward with courage and hope to continue to fight for pre-born lives, especially with Respect Life Month in October and 40 Days for Life kicking off this week.
Many thanks also to our sponsors, Milwaukee Archbishop Jerome Listecki for our opening prayer and Canon Josseaume for our closing prayer, our talented prayer card contest winners, and all of you for your continued prayers and support! With your help and
God's grace, we will continue to save lives and build up a culture that cultivates life from conception to natural death.

REPUBLICANS AND GROUPS PUSH FOR ANTI-ABORTION BILLS AT SENATE HEARING TUESDAY: (Wisconsin Examiner) – “Wisconsin Republicans and anti-abortion groups pushed for legislation that would change the state’s 1849 law and a slate of other abortion-related bills at a Senate hearing
Tuesday. The Senate Licensing, Constitution and Federalism committee heard testimony on the bills just a day after Planned Parenthood restarted abortion services in Wisconsin. […] ‘Pro-life Wisconsin is proud to advocate for these bills that together maintain and strengthen our current law — abortion ban statute — and provide the necessary resources for both moms and babies to survive and thrive in a post-Roe Wisconsin,’ Matt Sande of Pro-Life Wisconsin said at the hearing. He said SB 343 ‘clarifies that medical procedures intended to save the life of the pregnant mother and not intended to kill her preborn baby are not abortions.’” Read the full story
here.
REPUBLICANS SEEK UPDATED ABORTION LAWS AMID LEGAL BATTLE, PLANNED PARENTHOOD RESUMING SERVICES: (CBS 58 Milwaukee) – “With some abortion clinics in Wisconsin resuming services this week, the debate over women's reproductive rights is far from over. Republican lawmakers are advancing abortion-related bills through the
Legislature despite an ongoing legal battle to determine whether the state's pre-Civil War era abortion ban is in effect and threats by Gov. Tony Evers to veto proposals that don't restore pre-Roe abortion laws. During a public hearing Tuesday, Republicans testified on a package of bills they say would provide more clarity to women and doctors.” Read the full story

PREGNANT FROM RAPE AT 12, SHE CHOSE LIFE: ‘ABORTION IS NOT A SOLUTION,’ IT’S A ‘DOUBLE RAPE’: (Live Action) – “Lianna Rebolledo, founder of Loving Life,
recently sat down with Live Action president and founder Lila Rose to discuss her experience of choosing life for her baby after she was raped. […] Rebolledo said she knew she had a baby inside of her and refused an abortion. She said that girls who are sexually assaulted and become pregnant do not need abortion, but that abortionists are looking to profit off of their trauma. ‘Just knowing that I had my baby girl, it helped me. It helped me to heal and I just knew that my daughter had a purpose in life,’ she explained. ‘And she gave me the strength to go on. She gave me hope. She showed me what real love was, and because of her, I am who I am right now.’” Read the full story, and watch the interview,
