Now, more than ever, your voice is needed as we work together to save preborn lives! ANOTHER PRECIOUS LIFE

I had been standing at the 40 Days for Life campaign site in Milwaukee for about three hours last Friday. My coffee was all gone. My feet were sore from standing. My back hurt from standing. Come to think of it, almost everything hurt from standing! The concrete sidewalks are rather unforgiving. It was time to go. I started to walk to my car and someone said, “Where are you going?” I said, “It’s noon. My shift is over. I’ve got a ton of stuff to do back at the office, and I’m cold and hungry.” My friend on the sidewalk said, “The Latino couple just walked out. You need to talk to them!” I responded, “I’d be happy to talk to them, but they will have to stop first!” Hardly anyone was stopping to talk to us on the way out of the driveway that morning and I was not very hopeful that this couple would stop either. But they did! Here’s how that conversation went (in Spanish):

Me: "Do you need help?" Them: ~NO~

"How is the baby?" ~Baby is OK.~

"Do you need help for your baby?" ~No~

"Are you keeping your baby?" ~Yes~

"Thank you! We are praying for you and your family and your new baby! Thank you! God bless you and your family!" ~Gracias!~

I then gave them a pamphlet for a local pregnancy center. The father of the child nodded and smiled as he thanked me for the information and then drove off into the sunset. As they drove away, more questions popped into my mind that I never got to ask them, like, “What caused you to choose life?” or, “What made you change your mind?” Too late. We may never know, but we concentrated on the main thing. The baby. Always stay focused on the main thing.

It really hit me as they drove away. They are keeping their baby! I was almost speechless, but you know me!

There is plenty of opportunity to join us on the sidewalks this week. Help save a life! I thought my shift was over, but God had other plans! Join us on Saturday at 9am for the closing rally for this campaign at 435 S Water St, Milwaukee, WI.

SPEAKER MIKE JOHNSON WAS AN ATTORNEY FOR A PRO-LIFE GROUP, HAS A “ROCK SOLID RECORD ON LIFE”: (LifeNews.com) – “The House of Representatives has elected Rep. Mike Johnson, R-LA, as its 56th Speaker. Johnson won unanimous support from all present 220 Republicans. ‘The people’s House is back in business,’ said the new speaker before his swearing in. […] Johnson is an evangelical Christian known for his socially conservative views. He strongly supports protecting unborn children from abortion and rejects ‘same-sex marriage.’ He is a former attorney with the pro-life and pro-religious freedom legal group Alliance Defending Freedom (ADF). PRO-LIFE RESCUER PAULETTE HARLOW EXPLAINS WHAT INSPIRES HER TO HELP SAVE THE UNBORN: (LifeSiteNews) – “Pro-life rescuer and defendant in the third D.C. CHRISTIAN WRITER EXPRESSES REGRET OVER CHOOSING IVF: ‘I’M NOT GOD AND I WAS PLAYING HIM’: (Live Action) – “When writer Ericka Andersen first began the IVF process, she believed it was consistent with her pro-life principles. ‘I’d been a vocal, pro-life advocate since elementary school, but IVF felt like the opposite of abortion. It was life creation, not destruction,’ she wrote on Substack. But Andersen – whose works have been featured in publications such as New York Times, the Wall Street Journal, Christianity Today and others – soon became aware of the troubling ethical issues involved in IVF. ‘At first, I didn’t think a lot [about] it because I became pregnant and my dreams of motherhood became reality — twice over,’ she wrote. ‘It wasn’t until the dust settled on babyhood that I began to consider the ‘batch’ of embryos from which my two children came.’” Read the full story here.
