DONATE TO PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN'S LIFE SAVING WORK
BABY BOTTLE CAMPAIGN VIRTUAL FUNDRAISER

Crisis pregnancies happen all the time whether there is a pandemic or not but especially now, women need a supportive community to choose life for their preborn baby. The temptation of abortion is even greater in these difficult times. Sadly, many women are vulnerable in a crisis pregnancy to pursue an abortion.

We know that moms choose life because of the help that they receive from PLW’s Helping Both: Pregnancy Support Program. We work with local Pregnancy Resource Centers to save the life of the baby and heal the hearts of hurting moms. Helping Both fills the gap and changes lives.

We know that in this time, unemployment has affected families and limited their access to childcare, and education. It has stretched family resources and their ability to pay rent and/or their monthly bills. Our Helping Both Program fills the gap for families and gives the hope that moms in crisis pregnancies so desperately need. Your financial support means you are there for moms and their babies after birth too. Through the Helping Both Program, families have received food, gas, baby clothes, rent assistance, appliances, and financial assistance for their education. These are just a few of the ways this program has made a difference in the lives of pregnant moms in crisis.

Your generosity in this virtual baby bottle campaign provides the financial resources to continue supporting families in need. Please give generously today!

RSVP FOR SIDEWALK COUNSELING 101
THIS THURSDAY, COTTAGE GROVE

Dan Miller, State Director of Pro-Life Wisconsin, will present the Save Lives Sidewalk Counseling Training Class this Thursday, November 19 from 6:30 - 9:30 p.m. It will be held at Saint Patrick's Parish in Cottage Grove (434 N Main St, Cottage Grove, WI 53527). Anyone interested in learning how to save lives from abortion is welcome and encouraged to attend. Pizza will be served. Please let us know if you have any dietary restrictions!
  • The Save Lives Program recruits and trains sidewalk counselors who speak to mothers and fathers directly outside of abortion facilities.
  • The program provides resources that counselors give to moms and dads outside abortion facilities. Effective sidewalk counselors make a life or death difference when they speak to young parents in the most loving and convincing way.
  • Sidewalk counselors know their words can help save the life of the preborn baby by encouraging the parents to choose life for their child and directing them to free help at pregnancy resource centers.

Please RSVP by Thursday to Jill Yanke at djy@yankehome.com or 608-576-9542.

DID YOU KNOW...

On March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law. The CARES Act increases tax deductions for charitable donations for both individuals and corporations for tax year 2020. You may wish to consider the following provisions when determining your charitable giving this year:

Individuals who do not itemize their tax deductions may take a new "above the line" charitable deduction of $300 per taxpayer ($600 for a married couple). An "above the line" deduction reduces a donor's adjusted gross income and thereby reduces taxable income.

Individuals who do itemize may deduct donations up to 100% of their 2020 AGI, up from the previous limit of 60%.

Corporations may deduct up to 25% of taxable income, up from the previous limit of 10%.

To qualify for these special deductions, contributions must be made during tax year 2020. Payments on outstanding pledges also qualify, provided the payment is made in 2020.
