GIVE THE GIFT OF HOPE THIS #GIVINGTUESDAY

As Thanksgiving approaches this week, there are many in our communities who will go without the most basic necessities. As Pro-Life Wisconsinites, we seek to extend our generosity to those who need it most, and give the gift of hope. Through our Helping Both Program, families receive food, gas, clothes, rent assistance, appliances, financial aid, and more to meet their most basic needs both during a crisis pregnancy and after. We know firsthand that moms choose life because of the help that they receive from Pro-Life Wisconsin’s Helping Both: Pregnancy Support Program.

“You changed my mind.”
“I came all the way from Minnesota. Chose life instead!”
"I am so grateful to Pro-Life Wisconsin for their support."

This year, on December 1st, you can continue to give this gift of hope and be a part of #GivingTuesdaya day that encourages everyone to exercise generosity, to give back.

Your donation of $53, $101, $255, $325, $515, $1000 or any amount to PLW’s Helping Both Program will provide moms, dads, babies and families what they need in this holiday season and throughout 2021.

  • $53 provides moms and dads with a tank of gas
  • $101 supplies groceries for needy families
  • $255 helps infants and children have clothing, winter coats, and gloves
  • $325 provides a month’s supply of diapers and formula
  • $515 offsets costs to purchase appliances
  • $1000 helps with emergency rent assistance
  • $5000 goes towards the greatest needs of vulnerable pregnant moms

Our goal this year is to raise $9,500 on #GivingTuesday.

Will you give the gift of hope to those in greatest need this holiday season and throughout 2021?

FOUR WORDS TO SAVE A LIFE

“Pregnant? We can help!” Those are four words that could save a life. Pro-Life Wisconsin has worked closely throughout the years with Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRC's). One thing that became apparent very early on was the need for a comprehensive website to help young mothers in need to find help in choosing life. So, Pro-Life Wisconsin developed CrisisPregnancies.org which contains the most robust list of PRCs in the entire state. Praise God for all 62 PRC's that we have operating in Wisconsin! They are listed alphabetically by city. Is your PRC included in the list? If it’s not, please let us know, and we’ll include it in the website!

We always see a spike in abortion numbers about six to eight weeks after Christmas or Easter breaks for school. Thanksgiving isn’t generally a long break for students, but if they can get home for this holiday, they will. We need to be ready for the unexpected. Know where your closest PRC is located! The life you may save may be one of your own family members!
REMEMBER YOUR LOVED ONES THIS NOVEMBER

November is traditionally the month that the Church prays for the dead. If you would like to remember your deceased family members or friends (and have us pray for them and have them listed in an upcoming Banner newsletter) please click here.

May perpetual light shine upon them.

With over 1,500 of these plates on cars in the Badger State, sales have resulted in a total of nearly $100,000 which has been granted to over twenty-five Wisconsin pregnancy resource centers in a little over two years.

DID YOU KNOW...

On March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law. The CARES Act increases tax deductions for charitable donations for both individuals and corporations for tax year 2020. You may wish to consider the following provisions when determining your charitable giving this year:

Individuals who do not itemize their tax deductions may take a new "above the line" charitable deduction of $300 per taxpayer ($600 for a married couple). An "above the line" deduction reduces a donor's adjusted gross income and thereby reduces taxable income.

Individuals who do itemize may deduct donations up to 100% of their 2020 AGI, up from the previous limit of 60%.

Corporations may deduct up to 25% of taxable income, up from the previous limit of 10%.

To qualify for these special deductions, contributions must be made during tax year 2020. Payments on outstanding pledges also qualify, provided the payment is made in 2020.

PRO-LIFE NEWS

THE UNETHICAL TESTING OF “ETHICAL” COVID VACCINES: (Personhood Alliance) – “Both Pfizer and Moderna have announced major milestones in the race to get a COVID-19 vaccine candidate to market. Almost all media outlets and pro-life groups are claiming both vaccines are ethical, even though aborted fetal cells were used to test them. This is wrong, and here’s why it matters.” Read the full story here.
PLW NOTE: The AstraZeneca/University of Oxford COVID-19 vaccine candidate, announced today as 90% effective, was designed, developed, and produced using HEK293 cells derived from the kidney of a preborn child aborted in the Netherlands in 1973. Please see the Charlotte Lozier Institute vaccine data chart HERE.

NINTH MISSISSIPPI CITY DECLARES ITSELF A ‘SAFE CITY FOR PREBORN CHILDREN’: (LifeSiteNews) –Preborn children are now one step closer to being safer in Mississippi as yet another city has declared itself a place where children are ‘safe’ from abortion. Pro-life Pastor Ryan Sullivan of Grace Community Church in Jackson, Mississippi and Les Riley, president of Personhood Mississippi, are part of a movement that has now successfully designated nine Mississippi cities as ‘safe’ for the preborn. The latest and ninth city to be counted as a safe city is Richland. A Safe City designation means an official resolution has been declared that recognizes the rights of pre-born humans and ‘the duty of the local jurisdiction to provide equal protection, from conception to natural death.’” Read the full story here.

IRISH DOCTORS: WE “KILL” LATE-TERM UNBORN BABIES BY “STABBING THEM IN THE HEART”: (LifeNews.com) – “A shocking study about Ireland’s new abortion law provides gruesome details about how unborn babies are being stabbed in the heart with a poisonous solution so painful that even the American Veterinary Medical Association advises anesthesia for animals being euthanized. Yet, no such protections exist under Irish law for unborn babies who are capable of feeling pain, pro-life leaders in the country said this week.” Read the full story here.
