SAVE THE DATE!
LOVE FOR LIFE GALA THURSDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2020
Mark your calendars for Thursday, October 22, 2020! We are so excited to gather for our annual Love for Life Gala and share Wisconsin's life saving efforts with you all! This year's gala will be held at the brand new Brookfield Conference Center, located at 325 S Moorland Rd, on the south side of the Brookfield Square Mall. This is a new, very large, venue — 24,000 square feet in the ballroom, 8,000 square feet in the atrium, and eight cash bars to accommodate you with your favorite beverage. Because we are fortunate to have this generous space, we are going to seat six to a table (unless you specify otherwise – maximum of 10) with a maximum of 500 total guests. Because of limited seating, we encourage you to register early. Online registration will open very soon, so stay tuned!
It is our distinct honor and privilege to bring you our own spiritual director and Bishop of the Madison Diocese, His Excellency Bishop Donald J. Hying as our keynote speaker. Bishop Hying is known worldwide for his unwavering support of all human life and our religious freedoms. Those of you who have heard the Bishop in the past know of his warmth, humor, and insightful stories. Bishop Hying brings his own very special and profound perspective as he speaks of the
sanctity of life, and most especially the preborn.
We look forward to seeing you at the Gala!

UPCOMING WISCONSIN PRIMARY ELECTION: SEE PLW ENDORSEMENTS
Wisconsin's primary election is just one week away! Do you know who you will be voting for? The Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund political action committee (PAC) has announced candidate endorsements for the Fall 2020 elections. View endorsements here. A total of thirty-five candidates have been endorsed by the Victory Fund PAC for state office.
“We proudly endorse these candidates who recognize the personhood of the preborn baby and hold the principled and compassionate
no-exceptions pro-life position,” said Matt Sande, director of the Victory Fund PAC. “For over twenty-five years, Pro-Life Wisconsin has held high the banner of total protection for all preborn children. Because we insist on this high standard, more and more candidates for elected office are 100% pro-life. We stand behind those candidates who stand behind 100% of the babies.”

CONSECRATE WISCONSIN
The culture of death has made devastating inroads in our country over the last 50 years, and the lives of pre-born children hang in the balance, as does our own culture. We hope to petition Our Lord through His Blessed Mother for supernatural graces to help us defeat the culture of death and all abortion, euthanasia, and other evils that come with it.
We recognize this effort as not only good for the people of our state in general but also for our pre-born children specifically.
Please sign the petition in support of asking our Wisconsin Catholic Bishops to Consecrate Wisconsin to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Please forward this email or website address to everyone you know. Encourage them to sign it also!
Please contact ConsecrateWI@gmail.com if your organization or business would like to endorse this effort.

On March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law. The CARES Act increases tax deductions for charitable donations for both individuals and corporations for tax year 2020. You may wish to consider the following provisions when determining your charitable giving this year:
Individuals who do not itemize their tax deductions may take a new "above the line" charitable deduction of $300 per taxpayer ($600 for a married couple). An "above the line" deduction reduces a donor's adjusted
gross income and thereby reduces taxable income.
Individuals who do itemize may deduct donations up to 100% of their 2020 AGI, up from the previous limit of 60%.
Corporations may deduct up to 25% of taxable income, up from the previous limit of 10%.
To qualify for these special deductions, contributions must be made during tax year 2020. Payments on outstanding pledges also qualify, provided the payment is made in 2020.

U.S. SENATOR VOWS TO VOTE FOR ONLY SUPREME COURT NOMINEES WHO WILL OVERTURN ABORTION RULING: (LifeSiteNews) – “Republican Senator Josh Hawley from Missouri has vowed to make a Supreme Court nominee’s position on Roe v. Wade the litmus test for confirming him to the nation’s highest court. The 1973 landmark ruling essentially imposed legal abortion across the country. ‘I will vote only for those Supreme Court nominees
who have explicitly acknowledged that Roe v. Wade was wrongly decided,’ Hawley said, emphasizing that any Supreme Court nominee must be on the record already before the nomination.” Read the full story here.
PRO-LIFERS ARRESTED TRYING TO CHALK ‘BLACK PREBORN LIVES MATTER’ AT DC PLANNED PARENTHOOD: (LifeSiteNews) – “Two activists with Students for Life of America (SFLA) were arrested Saturday morning while peacefully attempting to chalk ‘BLACK PREBORN LIVES MATTER’ outside of the Planned Parenthood megacenter in the nation’s capital. SFLA had a permit and had communicated with the city about its plans to paint the street. This came following the city’s decision to allow a private organization to paint on the street a message in support of defunding the police. SFLA was asked to use tempera paint and had planned to do so.” Read the full story here.
HUNDREDS OF SICK CANADIANS EUTHANIZED OVER LONELINESS: (National Review, Wesley J. Smith): “Good grief. We are told that euthanasia is ‘compassion.’ But how compassionate is it
when last year in Canada, hundreds of sick people were euthanized because of loneliness? The country’s 2019 MAID [medical assistance in dying] annual report found that 13.7 percent of the 5,631 Canadians killed by doctors asked to be lethally injected because of “isolation or loneliness.’ If my math is right, that’s about 771 people, or 64 a month, or two per day. Good grief!” Read the full op-ed here.
