WISCONSIN PRO-LIFE GROUPS TELL SUPREME COURT THERE’S
NO RIGHT TO ABORTION:

"Wisconsin’s pro-life groups are unified in telling the Wisconsin Supreme Court it is not the court’s job to create a right to abortion. Wisconsin Right to Life, Wisconsin Family Action and Pro-Life Wisconsin all filed a joint brief with the court that argues there is no right to abortion and add that if there is to be one, that decision is up to lawmakers. […] ‘Finding a right to abortion in our state constitution, where there clearly is none, would be the most extreme form of legislating from the bench,’ Dan Miller, state director at Pro-Life Wisconsin, said. […] The Wisconsin Institute for Law and Liberty (WILL) also filed a brief in the case.”

U.S. SUPREME COURT HEARS ARGUMENTS ON WHETHER BIDEN CAN FORCE EMERGENCY ROOMS TO COMMIT ABORTIONS:
(LifeSiteNews) –
“Oral arguments began on Wednesday before the U.S. Supreme Court over the Biden administration’s efforts to force emergency room doctors in Idaho to participate in abortions under the guise of “medical necessity,” in a case that could have nationwide implications for both pro-life laws and conscience rights. In August 2022, the administration filed a lawsuit contending that the federal Emergency Medical Treatment & Active Labor Act (EMTALA) overrides Idaho’s pro-life laws and requires emergency room doctors to commit abortions that would otherwise be illegal under state law. A lower court sided with the White House, prompting the U.S. Supreme Court to take the case and allow Idaho to continue to enforce its pro-life laws until it is
resolved.”

TENNESSEE GOVERNOR SIGNS ‘BABY OLIVIA’ PRENATAL EDUCATION BILL INTO LAW:
(Live Action) –
“Tennessee Governor Bill Lee signed House Bill 2435 into law on Tuesday, requiring all public schools in the state to include an approved prenatal child development segment in the state-mandated age-appropriate family life curriculum. A three-minute ultrasound or computer animation can satisfy the curriculum requirements; Live Action’s “Meet Baby Olivia” is listed as one such animation, though it is not specifically required. The legislation previously passed the House in an overwhelming 67-23 vote in March, and likewise, the Senate passed the bill by a wide margin, at 21-6. ‘Meet Baby Olivia’ was created by Live Action in collaboration with medical experts, using data from the Endowment for Human Development (EHD), a non-profit
organization ‘committed to neutrality regarding all controversial bioethical issues.’”

SIDEWALK COUNSELING NEWS
|
Milwaukee and Waukesha sidewalk counselors reported seven (7!!) babies saved from abortion this last week.
One of the moms was getting picked up by a cab when a sidewalk counselor called out to her: "How is your baby doing? Are you keeping your baby?" The mom replied; "YES. I'm keeping my baby - I'm not having the abortion."

We would like to see at least two people pray every day of the week outside Planned Parenthood (1201 Caledonia Street, La Crosse, WI 54603). If you can commit to this weekly prayer, please let Marie Allen know. We encourage people to pray in groups of two if possible.
