PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN CELEBRATES THE 2ND ANNIVERSARY OF THE DOBBS DECISION THAT OVERTURNED ROE V. WADE

Today, June 24, 2024, marks the 2nd anniversary of the Dobbs v. Jackson U.S. Supreme Court ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade.
Pro-Life Wisconsin State Director Dan Miller offered his remarks on this day of hope and action:

"On this second anniversary of the Dobbs decision that overturned Roe v. Wade, we celebrate all human life from conception to natural death, and recommit ourselves to working for the day when all of God’s children are safe from the horror of abortion. Dobbs v. Jackson was a declaration to the nation and the world that abortion is not and never was a Constitutional ‘right.’ Killing our tiny brothers and sisters in the womb can NEVER be a ‘right.’ The right to life is given to us from God, not the government. Pro-Life Wisconsin is dedicated to preserving this right from the moment of fertilization until natural death."

Pro-lifers in Price County rallied on Saturday, June 22nd, at the Price County courthouse to celebrate life and pray for an abortion-free future, and Pro-Life Wisconsin staff joined hundreds of pro-life leaders in Washington, D.C., for the Celebrate Life Conference last weekend and a rally at the Lincoln Memorial on Saturday. Pro-Life Wisconsin encourages pro-lifers from around Wisconsin and the U.S. today to take the time today to pray in thanksgiving and to continue to find ways to work towards a 100% pro-life state and nation. FEDERAL COURT TEMPORARILY BLOCKS BIDEN FROM FORCING CATHOLIC EMPLOYERS TO PAY FOR ABORTIONS: (LifeSiteNews) “The U.S. District Court for the Western District of Louisiana temporarily blocked the Biden administration from attempting to interpret the federal Pregnant Workers Fairness Act (PWFA) to force even the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops (USCCB) to pay for abortions. Passed in 2022, the PWFA requires employers make ‘reasonable accommodations’ for pregnant employees. Last fall, the Biden administration’s Equal Employment Opportunity Commission (EEOC) proposed a rule that would define ‘pregnancy, childbirth, or related medical conditions’ in the PWFA as encompassing ‘having or choosing not to have an abortion.’”

CHASTITY PROJECT’S JASON EVERT: ‘CHASTITY FREES YOU TO LOVE’: (Live Action) “In an exclusive interview, Live Action president and founder Lila Rose spoke with Jason Evert, the founder of the Chastity Project about the meaning and function of chastity and its effect on abortion. Evert created the Chastity Project after spending a few years participating in sidewalk counseling outside of abortion businesses in college. But he began to feel that he was focusing on the ‘supply of abortion’ instead of the ‘demand’ for abortion, which he realized was coming from ‘unchastity.’ […] By educating young people on what human love is supposed to look like, Evert hopes the demand for abortion is diminished. Currently, 86% of women who have abortions are unmarried...”

TRUTH OVER POWER: CELEBRATING THE FEAST OF ST THOMAS MORE: (Thomas More Society) “Today, June 22, we celebrate the feast of our namesake, St. Thomas More. Born in London in 1478, More swiftly rose to prominence as a lawyer and scholar, well-versed in theology, classical languages, and the law. Despite the demands of work and study - and later, of political life - Thomas More prioritized an interior life of prayer, cultivating a deep relationship with God. […] More was elected to Parliament in 1504, and his political career blossomed. In 1523, he was appointed Speaker of the House of Commons and later became the first layman to serve as the King’s Lord Chancellor. As he rose in influence, More encountered tension between his moral convictions and the demands of political life.”
