MARCH FOR LIFE D.C. ANNOUNCEMENT

Pro-Life Wisconsin is going to the 2021 March for Life D.C. and you can too! The 2021 trip will feature a non-stop private chartered bus to D.C. departing Wisconsin on Thursday, January 28th. *Note: we will not be staying overnight at a hotel in the nation’s Capitol.

You will be able to pray, march, witness, and be a voice for the voiceless on Friday, January 29th at the annual March for Life. We will then make our return to Wisconsin immediately following the event. All passengers will be back home in Wisconsin by Saturday, January 30th.

FOUR WORDS TO SAVE A LIFE

“Pregnant? We can help!” Those are four words that could save a life. Pro-Life Wisconsin has worked closely throughout the years with Pregnancy Resource Centers (PRC's). One thing that became apparent very early on was the need for a comprehensive website to help young mothers in need to find help in choosing life. So, Pro-Life Wisconsin developed CrisisPregnancies.org which contains the most robust list of PRCs in the entire state. Praise God for all 62 PRC's that we have operating in Wisconsin! They are listed alphabetically by city. Is your PRC included in the list? If it’s not, please let us know, and we’ll include it in the website!

We always see a spike in abortion numbers about six to eight weeks after Christmas or Easter breaks for school. Thanksgiving isn’t generally a long break for students, but if they can get home for this holiday, they will. We need to be ready for the unexpected. Know where your closest PRC is located! The life you may save may be one of your own family members!

Choose Life license plates have been available to Wisconsin motorists since late October 2017. Pro-Life Wisconsin and Wisconsin Family Council partnered to underwrite all the administrative costs of Choose Life Wisconsin, which allows us to give to give every penny that comes from the sale of the plates to Wisconsin’s incredible pregnancy care centers!

With over 1,500 of these plates on cars in the Badger State, sales have resulted in a total of nearly $100,000 which has been granted to over twenty-five Wisconsin pregnancy resource centers in a little over two years.

On March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law. The CARES Act increases tax deductions for charitable donations for both individuals and corporations for tax year 2020. You may wish to consider the following provisions when determining your charitable giving this year:

Individuals who do not itemize their tax deductions may take a new "above the line" charitable deduction of $300 per taxpayer ($600 for a married couple). An "above the line" deduction reduces a donor's adjusted gross income and thereby reduces taxable income.

Individuals who do itemize may deduct donations up to 100% of their 2020 AGI, up from the previous limit of 60%.

Corporations may deduct up to 25% of taxable income, up from the previous limit of 10%.

To qualify for these special deductions, contributions must be made during tax year 2020. Payments on outstanding pledges also qualify, provided the payment is made in 2020.

TEEN MOM CANCELED ABORTION: ‘CHILDREN ARE NOT A DETRIMENT TO OUR SUCCESS’: (Live Action News) – “Today, Becky Martin is a pro-life advocate, but as a pro-choice pregnant high school senior, she scheduled an appointment to undergo an abortion. She canceled that appointment, went on to accomplish her goals, and today, she’s the mom of eight children. Martin shared a video on Tik Tok last week that has garnered over 210,000 views and countless comments. She shares her story of choosing life as a teen, despite the fears and bullying she faced (…) In the video, she shows viewers everything she would have missed out on had she gone through with the abortion — all of the precious moments of her son’s life that would have never happened.” Read the full story here.

BLACK WRITER SLAMS ABORTION: YOU CAN’T SAY “BLACK LIVES MATTER” WHEN BLACK BABIES’ LIVES DON’T MATTER: (LifeNews.com) – “Toni McFadden knows the lies that the abortion industry uses to target black women and their unborn babies. She was one of them (…) So it frustrates her when people accuse her of betraying her race because she voted for President Donald Trump. The minority outreach and healthy relationships director with Students for Life of America, McFadden said she always votes pro-life first because she knows first-hand how abortion destroys African American families.” Read the full story here.

LA CROSSE: We would like to see at least two people pray every day of the week outside Planned Parenthood. If you can commit to this weekly prayer, please let Marie Allen know. We encourage people to pray in groups of two if possible. You may choose your own time, and sidewalk counseling and signs are optional. MILWAUKEE: Join us every Tuesday at 6:00 PM (rain or shine) to pray the Angelus followed by the Rosary in reparation for sins of ingratitude at the Fatima Shrine (141 N 68th St Milwaukee, WI 53213).

WISCONSIN RAPIDS: Please join us in prayer on the 2nd Monday of each month at 4:00pm along 8th Street near Planned Parenthood. Gather in the Grace's parking lot at 3:45pm.
