WORKING TOGETHER TO SAVE LIVES

Choose Life Wisconsin license plates have been available since late October 2017. With over 1,500 of these plates on cars in The Badger State, sales have resulted in over $65,000 being distributed to some twenty-five pregnancy care centers on the front-lines of the pro-life movement. This week, another round of grants will be distributed to 19 of these life-saving, women-helping organizations. The $32,500 being given out brings the total to just under $100,000 in a little over two years.

Pro-Life Wisconsin and Wisconsin Family Council partnered to underwrite all the administrative costs of Choose Life Wisconsin, which allows us to give to give every penny that comes from the sale of the plates to Wisconsin’s incredible pregnancy care centers. PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN WELCOMES NEW DEVELOPMENT DIRECTOR, ED STONG

Pro-Life Wisconsin is thrilled to welcome Ed Stong to our team as Development Director! Since the 1980's, Ed has been blessed to have raised millions of dollars every year for Catholic organizations, including Fr. Marx's Human Life International (HLI) and Judie Brown's American Life League (ALL) to help save lives and bring souls to Christ.

As life-long committed Catholics, Ed and his wife of 35 years, Terry, have raised four children to adulthood, and are proud grandparents of six. A former baseball, softball, and basketball player, and coach for 15 years, Ed enjoys a good round of golf whenever he can get it, and lays claim to one of the longest hole-in-ones in golf history. It is our distinct honor and privilege to bring you our own spiritual director and Bishop of the Madison Diocese, His Excellency Bishop Donald J. Hying as our keynote speaker. Bishop Hying is known worldwide for his unwavering support of all human life and our religious freedoms. He brings his own very special and profound perspective as he speaks of the sanctity of life, and most especially the preborn.

CONSECRATE WISCONSIN

The culture of death has made devastating inroads in our country over the last 50 years, and the lives of pre-born children hang in the balance, as does our own culture. We hope to petition Our Lord through His Blessed Mother for supernatural graces to help us defeat the culture of death and all abortion, euthanasia, and other evils that come with it.

We recognize this effort as not only good for the people of our state in general but also for our pre-born children specifically.

Please sign the petition in support of asking our Wisconsin Catholic Bishops to Consecrate Wisconsin to the Immaculate Heart of Mary. Please forward this email or website address to everyone you know. Encourage them to sign it also!

On March 27, 2020, the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (CARES) Act was signed into law. The CARES Act increases tax deductions for charitable donations for both individuals and corporations for tax year 2020. You may wish to consider the following provisions when determining your charitable giving this year:

Individuals who do not itemize their tax deductions may take a new "above the line" charitable deduction of $300 per taxpayer ($600 for a married couple). An "above the line" deduction reduces a donor's adjusted gross income and thereby reduces taxable income.

Individuals who do itemize may deduct donations up to 100% of their 2020 AGI, up from the previous limit of 60%.

Corporations may deduct up to 25% of taxable income, up from the previous limit of 10%.

To qualify for these special deductions, contributions must be made during tax year 2020. Payments on outstanding pledges also qualify, provided the payment is made in 2020.

JOURNALISTS WHO EXPOSED PLANNED PARENTHOOD SCANDAL SEEK DISMISSAL OF REMAINING FELONY CHARGES: (Live Action News) – “Sandra Merritt, half of the duo that went undercover to expose Planned Parenthood’s role in the trafficking of aborted baby body parts, is petitioning the California Court of Appeals to drop all eight remaining felony charges against her, according to her legal team. Merritt’s partner in the undercover investigation, David Daleiden, is represented by the Thomas More Society, who confirmed via email to Live Action News that Daleiden is also seeking the dismissal of all nine remaining charges against him by the state of California.” Read the full story here.

Mosher, President, Population Research Institute) – “Is Joe Biden’s newly-minted vice presidential pick an anti-Catholic bigot? There is evidence that she is. Brian Buescher, who is a practicing Roman Catholic, was nominated by President Trump to be a district judge in Nebraska. When he came before the Senate Judiciary Committee for his confirmation hearing at the end of 2018, Kamala Harris was ready for him. SEPTEMBER 12 - (Phillips) You are invited to a commemoration for the National Day of Remembrance for Aborted Children on September 12 at 10 a.m. at St.Patrick's cemetery on Hwy W in Phillips. This day commemorates the burial 25 years ago, of 1,500 victims of abortion in Milwaukee. These bodies were found in trash bags waiting to be picked up. We will be praying together and singing songs of praise to God. We welcome any and all ministers and churches to attend. This is an outside event that allows for spreading out to social distance.
