PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN TESTIFIES BEFORE SENATE HUMAN SERVICES COMMITTEE IN SUPPORT OF BILLS PROHIBITING COVID-19 VACCINE MANDATES AND CHURCH CLOSURES
On Thursday, January 21, Pro-Life Wisconsin Legislative Director Matt Sande testified before the Senate Committee on Human Services, Children and Families in support of Senate Bill(s) 4, 5, and 7.
Please watch Matt Sande’s public testimony on WisconsinEye HERE starting at 1 hour 15 minutes and 22 seconds (1:15:22). Wisconsin Family Action, Vaccine Choice Wisconsin, and Wisconsin United for Freedom also testified in favor of the legislation, along with several pastors and many individuals.
Pro-Life Wisconsin strongly SUPPORTS:
- Senate Bill (SB) 4, legislation prohibiting the state Department of Health Services (DHS) and local public health officers from requiring individuals to receive vaccination against the 2019 novel coronavirus;
- Senate Bill (SB) 5, legislation prohibiting employers from requiring employees or prospective employees to receive vaccination against the 2019 novel coronavirus, or show proof of having received such vaccination as a condition of an offer of employment or continued employment; and
- Senate Bill (SB) 7, legislation prohibiting local health officers from closing or forbidding gatherings in places of worship to control outbreaks and epidemics of the 2019 novel coronavirus.
The Personhood Alliance/Pro-Life Wisconsin vaccine ethics position 1) opposes, and deems morally unacceptable, the production and testing of vaccines using the remains of aborted human beings, and 2) affirms the rights of all people to refuse medical treatment and to reject violations of their and their family members’
bodily integrity, moral conscience, and Constitutional protections through forced or coerced vaccines.
Senate Bill(s) 4 and 5 specifically reinforce our second position opposing coerced vaccination. Whether or not a vaccine is ethically produced and tested, it is unethical, and highly offensive, for the state, an employer, or anyone to force it on an individual who may strongly resist it for a variety of health, conscience, religious, or personal reasons. It is a direct, physical assault on that person’s bodily integrity.
For the many Wisconsinites who earnestly avoid any entanglement in the abortion industry, forcing them to receive a vaccine produced from or tested using aborted fetal cells is especially repugnant – a total violation of conscience. The recent Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna Covid-19 vaccine development and deployment are a case
in point. While both are ethically derived/produced, both are being unethically tested using HEK293 aborted fetal cells harvested from the kidney of a preborn baby aborted in the Netherlands in 1973. Many pro-life Wisconsinites reject the use of the Pfizer and Moderna vaccines and would vehemently oppose any state or employer mandate of their use on the public.
Senate Bill 7 recognizes that pro-life Wisconsinites are engaged in a spiritual war against the culture of death, exemplified most horribly by the twin evils of abortion and assisted suicide that kill both the young and old with impunity. Our members fortify themselves in this epic battle by faithfully attending their communal places of worship and living sacramental lives. When they are cut off from this spiritual sustenance, it is difficult to be effective in their missionary work. Uninhibited access to our grocery stores is no more important than
unrestricted access to our churches. Senate Bill 7 upholds our unqualified First Amendment rights to freely exercise our religious beliefs and freely assemble.
ACT NOW!With your help, Pro-Life Wisconsin will fight for passage of SB 4, SB 5, and SB 7. Please CALL or EMAIL your state senator TODAY and urge him/her
to "Pass SB 4, SB 5, & SB 7." Tell them, "Vaccine coercion is immoral, unconstitutional, and un-American!" and "Don’t close our churches!"
- Don’t know your state senator? Go to legis.wisconsin.gov and
type in your home address under "Who Are My Legislators" or call the Legislative Hotline: 1-800-362-9472.
Thank you for making your pro-life voices heard in the Wisconsin Senate!

ON FIRE FOR LIFE AFTER "SIDEWALK COUNSELING 201"
Thank you to all those who came out on Friday evening for "Sidewalk Counseling 201" at Life Bridge Church in Howard. Special thanks to Tallulah Caulfield and Kaitlin Wenzel for coordinating the event with Pro-Life Wisconsin's Save Lives Sidewalk Counseling Training program. Tallulah offered the following recap of the event:
"We were so humbled, honored, and grateful to have had Dan Miller come up. It was a great surprise that he brought two dedicated sidewalk counselor vets along for the ride up from Milwaukee. Truly an awesome night for us in Green Bay! My phone and email has been off the hook this morning with glowing feedback on the training.
The training was super interactive – attendees were able to interject and ask lots of questions. We were able watch Dan and the sidewalk counselors do a bit
of role-playing to show us what it is like in front of an abortion facility trying to counsel around the escorts. Super informative to see! We got to talk through how to respond to basically every scenario you can be presented with on the sidewalk.
We were so on fire and engaged! Even though the training was meant to end at 8:30 p.m., we kept going until almost 9:15 p.m.! Though some people had to duck out at the official end-time, I was shocked by how many people wanted to stay late! We had over 30 people attend, some people coming all the way from Peshtigo and Marinette!"

FOND DU LAC CITY COUNCIL REACHES COMPROMISE, PROCLAIMS JANUARY SANCTITY OF LIFE MONTH
As reported, on Wednesday, January 13, 2021, much to the disappointment of many city residents, Fond du Lac City Council President Brian Kolstad denied the request to proclaim January as Pro-Life Month in the city of Fond du Lac, stating the following, as described in the
Fond du Lac Reporter: “Today I will exercise this privilege to not present this proclamation,” Kolstad said. “I am not required to give a reason, but in my opinion, this proclamation has value only as a political statement with little or no value in building good will in the community.” Days later, a compromise was reached to name January 2021 “Sanctity of Life Month” instead of “Pro-Life Month.” Instead of highlighting the political language, positive things pro-life groups are doing in the community were highlighted. Official proclamation here.
Thank you City Council Member Dan Degner, City Council President Brian Kolstad, and members of the Fond du Lac City Council for working together to recognize the preborn.

PURCHASE YOUR CHOOSE LIFE WISCONSIN PLATE, AND SAVE LIVES FROM ABORTION!
Choose Life license plates have been available to Wisconsin motorists since late October 2017. Pro-Life Wisconsin and Wisconsin Family Council partnered to underwrite all the administrative costs of Choose Life Wisconsin, which allows us to give to give every penny that comes from the sale of the plates to Wisconsin’s incredible pregnancy care centers!
With over 1,500 of these plates on cars in the Badger State, sales have resulted in a total of nearly $100,000 which has been granted to over twenty-five Wisconsin pregnancy resource centers in a little over two years.

ON 48TH ANNIVERSARY OF ROE V. WADE, SOME GLIMMERS OF HOPE FOR PRO-LIFE MOVEMENT REMAIN: (LifeSiteNews) – “The 48th anniversary of Roe v. Wade, the 1973 Supreme Court decision that along with Doe v. Bolton imposed abortion on demand across the United States, comes at a unique time politically and culturally. There is a supposedly Catholic yet staunchly pro-abortion president in the White House, most coronavirus vaccines being developed and rolled out are connected to abortion, and America is uneasy and deeply divided […]
Despite all of this — and the brand-new challenges that come with the extremist pro-abortion Biden regime — pro-lifers remain hopeful that the end of abortion could still be somewhere in sight. Some pro-lifers are celebrating Missouri being, at least for the time being, an effectively abortion-free state.” Read the full story here.
POPE FRANCIS RECOGNIZES HEROIC VIRTUES OF PIONEERING FRENCH GENETICIST JEROME LEJEUNE: (Catholic News Agency) – “Pope Francis recognized on Thursday the heroic virtues of Jérôme Lejeune, the French geneticist who discovered the extra chromosome that causes Down syndrome. The step, announced on Jan. 21, means that Lejeune can now be referred to as ‘Venerable.’ Heroic virtue is one of the requirements for beatification in the Catholic Church. A verified miracle attributed to the candidate’s intercession is also usually required.” Read the full story here.
PELOSI’S BISHOP SAYS SHE IS ‘IN DIRECT CONTRADICTION’ TO CHURCH TEACHING ON ABORTION: (LifeSiteNews) – “San Francisco Archbishop Salvatore Cordileone issued a strong response to Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) after she attacked pro-lifers, blaming them for selling out democracy by voting for pro-life President Donald Trump. Pelosi ‘speaks in direct contradiction to a fundamental human right that Catholic teaching has consistently championed for 2,000 years,’ the archbishop said.” Read the full story here.
ABORTION ADVOCATES ATTACK REP. ELISE STEFANIK FOR – OF ALL THINGS – BEING ‘CHILDLESS’: (Live Action News) – “Earlier this week, The Blaze reported on a verbal attack published by the Times Union of Albany, New York, against U.S. Rep. Elise Stefanik. Among other below-the-belt jabs, the piece — which has since been removed from the Times Union site and is unavailable on the authors’ blog, which has been made private — took aim at Stefanik for being ‘childless.’ […] Stefanik and her husband responded to the attack by calling the publication of such remarks as ‘a new low… truly heinous and wildly inappropriate. The shameful statement is not only inherently sexist, but also hateful, abusive, and heartless.’ They ended their joint statement by saying, ‘Like millions of families, we hope and pray that we
will be blessed by becoming parents.’” Read the full story here.
