SENATE AND ASSEMBLY SPECIAL ELECTIONS TOMORROW – DON'T FORGET TO VOTE!
Special primary elections will be held tomorrow, Tuesday, February 16, in the 13th Senate District and 89th Assembly District.

The Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund Political Action Committee (PAC) has proudly endorsed former Republican State Representative Don Pridemore (R-Hartford) in the 13th Senate District (SD) special election. The 13th SD, located in parts of Columbia, Dane, Dodge, Jefferson, Washington, and Waukesha counties, includes the cities of Oconomowoc, Watertown, Columbus, and Beaver Dam, as well as the villages of Cambridge, Marshall, and Lomira. The Republican primary election will likely confirm the next state senator from the 13th District, as the district is solidly conservative.

The Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund PAC has proudly endorsed four candidates in the 89th Assembly District (AD) special election: Elijah Behnke (R-Oconto), Debbie Jacques (R-Green Bay), David Kamps (R-Coleman), and Michael Kunesh (R-Marinette). Wisconsin’s 89th AD covers parts of Brown, Marinette, and Oconto counties including the cities of Marinette, Peshtigo, and Oconto, part of the Village of Howard, and the villages of Suamico, Coleman, and Pound.

The Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund PAC has also endorsed two candidates for Fond du Lac City Council: Daniel Degner and Kenneth Cassaday.

For those of you who live in the 13th SD, 89th AD, and the City of Fond du Lac, tomorrow’s primary election is too important to miss. Plan to exercise your right to vote tomorrow, February 16, and encourage your family and friends to do the same. Vote for life, and may God bless Wisconsin!
PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN TESTIFIES BEFORE SENATE HEALTH COMMITTEE AGAINST BILL PERMITTING PHARMACISTS TO PRESCRIBE CONTRACEPTIVES

On Tuesday, February 9, Pro-Life Wisconsin Legislative Director Matt Sande testified before the Senate Committee on Health in opposition to
Senate Bill (SB) 30, legislation authored by Senator Mary Felzkowski (R-Irma) permitting pharmacists to prescribe and dispense hormonal contraceptive patches (the Patch) and self-administered oral hormonal contraceptives (the Pill) to persons 18 years of age and older.

Pro-Life Wisconsin OPPOSES any legislation that makes hormonal contraceptives more easily accessible or widely available. Please watch Matt Sande’s public testimony on SB 30 on WisconsinEye HERE starting at 2 hours 57 minutes and 45 seconds (2:57:45). Julaine Appling of Wisconsin Family Action and Kim Vercauteren of the Wisconsin Catholic Conference also testified against SB 30.

In a misguided attempt to reduce unplanned pregnancies, the Senate Health Committee recommended the bill for passage on a 4-1 vote on February 11.
Senator Julian Bradley (R-Franklin) provided the lone NO vote. We thank Senator Bradley for his opposition to this dangerous and unworkable legislation.

SB 30 is bad legislation for several reasons:

  • Attempting to lower unplanned pregnancies by making contraceptives more easily accessible simply does not work. A significant percentage of unintended pregnancies are in women using contraceptives, generally over 40% and in some studies up to 68%.
  • Hormonal contraceptives can cause pre-implantation chemical abortions by altering the lining of the uterus (endometrium) so that a newly conceived child (human embryo) is unable to implant in the womb, thus starving and dying.
  • Hormonal contraceptives have been proven dangerous to women’s health. The Pill is a known Group 1 carcinogen for breast, cervical and liver cancers according to the UN’s International Agency on Research of Cancer. It is not the proper role of pharmacists to diagnose health conditions and prescribe powerful medications with clear health risks.

ACT NOW!

With your help, Pro-Life Wisconsin will continue to lead the fight against SB 30 in the Wisconsin Senate. We MUST stop this legislation in the Senate!

Please
CALL or EMAIL your state senator TODAY and urge him/her to “Oppose SB 30” Tell him/her, “Hormonal contraceptives can kill embryonic children, are dangerous to women’s health, and do not reduce unplanned pregnancies!”

Don’t know your state senator? Go to
legis.wisconsin.gov and type in your home address under “Who Are My Legislators” or call the Legislative Hotline: 1-800-362-9472.

Thank you for making your pro-life voices heard in the Wisconsin Senate!
SIGN THE PETITION: SAY NO TO PLANNED PARENTHOOD IN OUR WISCONSIN SCHOOLS

In January of 2021, the McFarland School District sent out a letter to students’ parents and guardians informing them that the Dane County Youth Assessment would be administered to all students in grades 7-12. According to the letter, the intent of the assessment was “to provide educators, community agencies, parents, policy-makers, and funding bodies the data needed to inform grant writing, program development, and public policy.” One of the community agencies is Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin whose Director of Education, Meghan Benson, is the chair of the Dane County Youth Commission and a point of contact regarding the assessment.

Planned Parenthood is the nation’s largest abortion provider, killing 345,672 babies in 2018 alone. The organization receives over $600 million dollars in federal funding each year which allows for the continued killing of innocent children every day in states across the country.

Since its founding in 1935, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin has guised itself as a bastion of “reproductive freedom,” working its way into our schools and communities. Their educational programs promote abortion – the direct and intentional killing of a preborn human being, and hormonal birth control – a chemical abortifacient and known carcinogen.

In 2018, Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin reportedly performed 4,639 abortions in the state, contributing to our ever increasing annual abortion rate. These 4,639 innocent children were the casualties of an organization who is profiting at the expense of human life and normalizing the cycle of sexual behavior, contraception, and abortion. The work of Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin will continue to take root as long as we allow them to infiltrate our counties, communities, and schools.

It is time to take action and say no to Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin.

The 72-page assessment from the Dane County Youth Commission, led by Planned Parenthood of Wisconsin’s Director of Education, includes questions on sexual orientation, gender identity, and sexual conduct, among other intensely private topics. Cloaking itself as a helpful aid to improve the lives of students, the assessment serves as another tool to encourage teen sexual promiscuity and abortion.

Pro-Life Wisconsin shares the common goal of improving the lives of Wisconsin students. However, we oppose and condemn all efforts to normalize sexual promiscuity in our youth which increases contraceptive use and, when it fails, leads to a higher demand for abortion, causing the death of more innocent human life. (View Pro-Life Wisconsin’s educational programs dedicated to building up our youth and combating the tactics of organizations like Planned Parenthood here.)

SIGN THE PETITION: Our Wisconsin students deserve better, and no organization profiting off the murder of innocent children should have a place in our Wisconsin schools.

PRO-LIFE NEWS

JUDGE ANDREW NAPOLITANO: UNBORN BABIES ARE “PERSONS” AND THEY HAVE A RIGHT TO LIFE: (LifeNews.com) – “When the government fails to protect the most basic right, the right to life, for a baby in the womb, it sets a dangerous precedent, Judge Andrew P. Napolitano wrote this week in a column at Fox News. Napolitano, a former judge on the Superior Court of New Jersey and senior judicial analyst at Fox News, urged Americans to ask themselves, ‘Is the baby in the womb a person?’ and consider the dangerous implications of a government declaring certain groups of human beings to be non-persons.” Read the full story here.

TUCKER CARLSON CALLS OUT YOUTUBE FOR BANNING LIFESITE: ‘GOOGLE DOESN’T WANT TO DEBATE’: (LifeSiteNews) – “This week, YouTube deleted LifeSite’s entire channel, including the entire library of videos published to it, effectively cutting off 300,000 followers’ access to this publication’s pro-life, pro-family content through that platform. The move was apparently in retaliation for a handful of recent videos about COVID-19 vaccines. ‘Naturally, the Democratic Party is constructing a world designed to serve Jeff Bezos,’ [Tucker] Carlson said during his Wednesday monologue. ‘You’re an afterthought in that world. If you get in the way, they will punish you. They already are punishing you. Your right to say and think what you want, to read and watch what you want, threatens them above all.’” Read the full story here.

‘BUFFY’ ACTRESS CHARISMA CARPENTER CLAIMS CREATOR JOSS WHEDON ABUSED HER FOR BEING PREGNANT: (Live Action News) –Actress Charisma Carpenter has come forward with allegations of abuse against ‘Buffy the Vampire Slayer’ and ‘Angel’ creator Joss Whedon just months after actor Ray Fisher accused Whedon of racist conduct. Carpenter said Whedon’s behavior toward her years ago traumatized her, and says she suffered mistreatment because of her pregnancy and her religion.” Read the full story here.
