YOU'RE INVITED TO PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN'S 2021 LIVING COURAGE AWARDS DINNER
Join us on Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the Pavilion Exhibit Hall at the Washington County Fair Park and Conference Center (3000 County Hwy PV, West Bend, WI 53095) for the 2021 Living Courage Awards Dinner. The evening will begin at 5:30 p.m. with a social hour, followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m.
Hear from our keynote speaker, Steve Karlen, who, shortly after getting involved in the pro-life movement as a volunteer leader with the 40 Days for Life campaign in Madison, found himself at the center of a nationwide controversy. The University of Wisconsin-Madison health system was preparing to open a late-term abortion center on campus, but Steve and his wife Laura led the victorious fight alongside Pro-Life Wisconsin to oppose this barbaric plan. Steve
served as Pro-Life Wisconsin’s development director (2010-2012) and is now the Campaign Director for 40 Days for Life where he trains and assists local 40 Days for Life campaign leaders, co-hosts the 40 Days for Life Podcast, and edits the 40 Days for Life Day 41 magazine. His latest book, This is When We Begin to Fight, will be available for purchase and signing upon the conclusion of the Living Courage Awards Dinner on April 22, 2021.
Most importantly, we will honor our Activist of the Year, Gwen Finnegan of Madison Vigil for Life, and Legislator of the Year, Representative Chuck Wichgers.
Gwen Finnegan has served as the Volunteer Director of Vigil for Life-Madison since January 2014, has led Madison’s 365 for Life campaigns, and coordinated eight 40 Days for Life campaigns. “Thank you to Pro-Life Wisconsin for recognizing my efforts with Vigil
for Life-Madison. I share this award with all of those who sign up for hours to witness for life through Vigil for Life-Madison,” remarked Gwen.
Representative Chuck Wichgers is a staunch supporter of the right to life and believes in protecting human life at all levels from the not yet born, those with special needs, to the eldest among us. “I’m honored to be chosen as Pro-Life Wisconsin’s Legislator of the Year,” shared Chuck. “It’s an honor I feel compelled to share, however, with my father and mother who faithfully served God and the pro-life community by raising 13 children with absolutely no regrets! They now enjoy a growing list of over 70 grandchildren and great-grandchildren. My parent’s pro-life witness to trust in God’s plan for them inspires me to recognize and defend the God-given dignity of every human life from conception to natural death in my capacity as a state legislator in Madison.”
We hope you will join us for an evening celebrating Wisconsin's pro-life heroes!

PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN PAC ENDORSES JUDGE SHELLEY GROGAN FOR WISCONSIN COURT OF APPEALS
The Pro-Life Wisconsin Victory Fund Political Action Committee (PAC) has endorsed Judge Shelley Grogan for Wisconsin Court of Appeals, District 2. Headquartered in Waukesha, District 2 covers twelve counties in the southeastern corner of Wisconsin: Calumet, Fond du Lac, Green Lake, Kenosha, Manitowoc, Ozaukee, Racine, Sheboygan, Walworth, Washington, Waukesha, and Winnebago counties. The general election is scheduled for Tuesday, April 6.
A judicial conservative with a deep respect for and commitment to the rule of law, Judge Grogan will adjudicate independently and impartially. She will work with a servant’s heart to protect and preserve our Constitutional freedoms and maintain law and order. Her belief in the dignity of the human person, devotion to family, and fidelity to our federal and state constitutions as written make her the only choice for pro-life voters. Pro-Life Wisconsin is proud to endorse Judge Shelly Grogan.
Judge Grogan has 25 years of experience in both civil and criminal law, working with constitutionally conservative judges and justices. She served as the judicial law clerk to both Judge Ted Wedemeyer and Judge Ralph Adam Fine at the state court of appeals and currently serves as Justice Rebecca Bradley’s permanent Judicial Assistant at the Wisconsin Supreme Court. She also serves as the sitting judge for the City of Muskego and works as an Adjunct Professor of Law at Marquette University Law School.
Judge Grogan graduated from Marquette Law in 1992 with honors and worked as a civil litigator prior to joining the Wisconsin Appellate Courts. She and her late husband raised their three children in Waukesha County.
The Victory Fund PAC is urging the citizens of southeast Wisconsin to get out to the polls on Tuesday, April 6 and vote for Judge Shelley Grogan for Wisconsin Court of Appeals. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m. for this nonpartisan race. More information available here on where you should vote, who else is on your local ballot, and information on voting absentee if you cannot vote on Election Day.

UNETHICAL COVID-19 VACCINE AUTHORIZED BY U.S. FDA
On February 27, 2021, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration issued an emergency use authorization for the third COVID-19 vaccine for the prevention of coronavirus disease. The Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccine is now allowed to be distributed in the U.S for use in individuals 18 years of age and older. The Janssen/J&J vaccine uses the abortion-derived cell line PER.C6 in its development and production. PER.C6 is a proprietary cell line owned by Janssen, a subsidiary of Johnson & Johnson, developed from the retinal cells of an 18-week-old fetus aborted in 1985. View the Charlotte Lozier Institute vaccine chart here for more information.

U.S. HOUSE PASSES PRO-ABORTION ‘EQUALITY ACT’ TO WRITE TRANSGENDERISM INTO CIVIL RIGHTS LAW: (LifeSiteNews) – “The U.S. House of Representatives voted 224 to 206 today to pass the ‘Equality Act,’ which would write transgenderism into federal civil rights law, compel medical professionals to commit abortions and transgender surgeries, and expand taxpayer-funded abortion on demand.” Read the full story here.
THE EQUALITY ACT WOULD REQUIRE GOVERNMENT-FUNDED ABORTION: (National Review) – “But the Equality Act is more insidious still. In addition to rendering male–female distinctions essentially null for the purposes of law, it would smuggle in a redefinition of discrimination that would make it impossible for individuals and institutions to decline to perform or pay for an abortion […] the law would treat refusals to perform an abortion as pregnancy discrimination, which would be treated as an illegal form of discrimination on the basis of sex.” Read the full story
here.
U.S SENATOR CINDY HYDE-SMITH WILL OPPOSE XAVIER BECERRA BECAUSE HE’S A RADICAL ABORTION ACTIVIST: (LifeNews.com) – “Pro-life Senator Cindy Hyde-Smith promised Thursday to oppose the nomination of Xavier Becerra as the secretary of health, noting that his experience is
not in health care but in ‘filing lawsuits to go against anything that is pro-life […]’ Becerra, a career politician, is the attorney general of California and a former U.S. congressman. He has a radical pro-abortion record that includes prosecuting the undercover journalists who exposed Planned Parenthood’s aborted baby body parts trade, supporting partial-birth abortions and attempting to force the Little Sisters of the Poor, nuns who serve the poor and elderly, to fund abortions.” Read the full story here.

MARCH 20 – Men, We Need You! We find ourselves in very troubling times. For years the denigration of the family unit has taken its toll on the Church and on us men. Backed into a corner by an increasingly anti-Christian society, men that I talk to are starting to take a stand. But many of them don’t know where to start. The goal of the Men of Christ conference is to change the life of every man that attends by giving them the tools, education, and most importantly fraternity with like-minded
men to help equip them to lead their families to Christ. Click Here here to see if there is a parish in your area that is physically hosting one of our gatherings. If you don’t see a parish in your area, would you consider taking the lead to coordinate the hosting at your parish? We’ve made this virtual conference very simple to implement and we will supply you with a playbook to make it very easy.
