PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN TESTIFIES BEFORE ASSEMBLY CONSTITUTION AND ETHICS COMMITTEE IN SUPPORT OF BILLS PROHIBITING COVID-19
VACCINE MANDATES AND CHURCH CLOSURES

On Wednesday, March 3, Pro-Life Wisconsin Legislative Director Matt Sande testified before the Assembly Committee on Constitution and Ethics in support of Assembly Bill(s) 23, 24, and 25.

Please watch Matt Sande’s public testimony courtesy of WisconsinEye HERE. Wisconsin Family Action, Vaccine Choice Wisconsin, and Wisconsin United for Freedom also testified in favor of the legislation, along with several pastors and many individuals. For a LifeSiteNews story on the public hearing, please click HERE.

Pro-Life Wisconsin strongly SUPPORTS:
  • Assembly Bill (AB) 23, legislation prohibiting the state Department of Health Services (DHS) and local public health officers from requiring individuals to receive vaccination against the 2019 novel coronavirus;
  • Assembly Bill (AB) 24, legislation prohibiting local health officers from closing or forbidding gatherings in places of worship to control outbreaks and epidemics of the 2019 novel coronavirus; and
  • Assembly Bill (AB) 25, legislation prohibiting employers from requiring employees or prospective employees to receive vaccination against the 2019 novel coronavirus.

While our preference is to have these three bills apply generally to all vaccines and all epidemics, not just those associated with the 2019 novel coronavirus, the legislation is a good step in the right direction and will set a good precedent.

The Personhood Alliance/Pro-Life Wisconsin vaccine ethics position 1) opposes, and deems morally unacceptable, the production and testing of vaccines using the remains of aborted human beings, and 2) affirms the rights of all people to refuse medical treatment and to reject violations of their and their family members’ bodily integrity, moral conscience, and Constitutional protections through forced or coerced vaccines.

Assembly Bill(s) 23 and 25 specifically reinforce our vaccine ethics position. For the many Wisconsinites who earnestly avoid any entanglement in the abortion industry, forcing them to receive a vaccine produced from or tested using aborted fetal cells is repugnant – a total violation of conscience. Many pro-life Wisconsinites reject the use of the Pfizer, Moderna, and Janssen/Johnson & Johnson COVID-19 vaccines and would vehemently oppose any state or employer mandate of their use on the public. Whether or not a vaccine is ethically produced and tested, it is unethical, and highly offensive, for the state, an employer, or anyone to force it on an individual who may strongly resist it for a variety of health, conscience, religious, or personal reasons. It is a direct, physical assault on that person’s bodily integrity.

Assembly Bill 24 recognizes that pro-life Wisconsinites are engaged in a spiritual war against the culture of death, exemplified most horribly by the twin evils of abortion and assisted suicide that kill both the young and old with impunity. Our members fortify themselves in this epic battle by faithfully attending their communal places of worship and living sacramental lives. When they are cut off from this spiritual sustenance, it is difficult to be effective in their missionary work. Uninhibited access to our grocery stores is no more important than unrestricted access to our churches. Assembly Bill 24 upholds our unqualified First Amendment rights to freely exercise our religious beliefs and freely assemble.

ACT NOW!

With your help, Pro-Life Wisconsin will fight for passage of AB 23, AB 24, and AB 25.
Please
CALL or EMAIL your state assemblyperson TODAY and urge him/her to "Pass AB 23, AB 24, & AB 25." Tell them, "Vaccine coercion is immoral, unconstitutional, and un-American!" and "Don’t close our churches!"

  • Don’t know your state assemblyperson? Go to legis.wisconsin.gov and type in your home address under "Who Are My Legislators" or call the Legislative Hotline: 1-800-362-9472.

Thank you for making your pro-life voices heard in the Wisconsin Assembly!

DAY 20: 1 Man, 2 CITIES, 3 SAVED BABIES

(40 Days For Life) – Frustrated by unprecedented attacks on human life from the highest levels of government, members of St. Mary's Oratory in Wausau, Wisconsin decided to do something. They got on a bus and drove down to the Madison 40 Days for Life vigil. Some traveled hundreds of miles to get there!

In Madison, they met longtime Milwaukee vigil leader Dan Miller, who himself traveled 75 miles to pray.
An extended conversation with one particular Planned Parenthood visitor wasn't able to change a mind and save a baby...but the mere sight of the group inspired another mom to choose life!

When Dan returned home that day, he went out to Milwaukee's 40 Days for Life vigil and helped save two more babies from abortion! These faithful prayer warriors didn't despair over dysfunction in Washington, D.C. They entrusted God to use them to save lives, and He did!

How will God work through you? Find out by signing up to pray at 40daysforlife.com/location.

PRO-LIFE NEWS

WISCONSIN MOVES TO BAR PUBLIC OFFICIALS, EMPLOYERS FROM MANDATING COVID VACCINES: (LifeSiteNews) – “With support from broad initiatives to protect citizens from the growing trend of de facto mandated COVID-19 vaccinations, Wisconsin state legislators have responded with two bills affirming that neither local health officials nor employers can require these injections of residents or employees, respectively.” Read the full story here.

‘NO MORAL OBLIGATION TO ACCEPT VACCINATION’: CHRISTIAN MEDICAL GROUPS PUSH FOR CONSCIENCE RIGHTS: (LifeSiteNews) – “An ecumenical coalition of Christian medical groups urged civil authority to respect conscience rights regarding vaccination for COVID-19. The Catholic Medical Association; the National Association of Catholic Nurses, U.S.A.; the American College of Pediatricians; and the Christian Medical and Dental Association issued a ‘Joint Statement on Vaccines and Conscience Protection’ on March 2. The signers insist that governments must respect the right of an individual to accept or refuse a vaccine.” Read the full story here.

RAND PAUL FORCES DEMOCRATS TO REMOVE PROVISION FUNDING PLANNED PARENTHOOD FROM COVID BILL: (LifeNews.com) – Senator Rand Paul has forced Democrats to remove a pro-abortion provision in their massive $1.9 trillion COVID bill that would have allowed every Planned Parenthood across America to receive free money through the Paycheck Protection Program. Paul (R-KY), ranking member of the Senate Small Business Committee, says the money in the PPP loan program was meant for small businesses, not abortion companies.” Read the full story here.

MARCH 20 – Men, We Need You! We find ourselves in very troubling times. For years the denigration of the family unit has taken its toll on the Church and on us men. Backed into a corner by an increasingly anti-Christian society, men that I talk to are starting to take a stand. But many of them don’t know where to start. The goal of the Men of Christ conference is to change the life of every man that attends by giving them the tools, education, and most importantly fraternity with like-minded men to help equip them to lead their families to Christ. Click Here here to see if there is a parish in your area that is physically hosting one of our gatherings. If you don’t see a parish in your area, would you consider taking the lead to coordinate the hosting at your parish? We’ve made this virtual conference very simple to implement and we will supply you with a playbook to make it very easy.
