DONATE TO PRO-LIFE WISCONSIN'S LIFE SAVING WORK
JOIN US THIS FRIDAY FOR
PRO-LIFE STATIONS OF THE CROSS

Join Pro-Life Wisconsinites this Good Friday, April 2, at 9:00 a.m. as we pray the Stations of the Cross. Each year on Good Friday, Pro-Life Wisconsinites come together to pray the Stations of the Cross followed by a procession to the local abortion facility.

During the Pro-Life Stations of the Cross on April 22, 2011 there were about 125 persons present as we prayed in front of Affiliated Medical Services (AMS) for an end to abortion. Just as we were almost through, a young man approached us from the crowd asking if we could pray just one more prayer. He said it wouldn’t take more than seven minutes. He was prepared – and distributed copies of the prayer among the faithful pro-lifers. It was the Chaplet of the Holy Face of Jesus, which adores Jesus’ five senses using Psalm 67.  Nearing the end of the prayer, I noticed the neon sign in AMS’ window was no longer glowing.  The vitamin store next door had a similar sign, and it too was not glowing. Next, we noticed many of the employees coming outside to speak with the plethora of volunteer abortion escorts. They all looked very concerned about something. Amid the buzzing conversations going back and forth, I heard “flashlight” mentioned several times. Sure enough, their power had been cut, and the employees and escorts were hustling to their cars to grab flashlights.

Next, a wave of customers came streaming out. With 125 people on the sidewalks, it was very difficult to sidewalk counsel, but we did what we could. Realizing that we just weren’t going to get an opportunity to counsel them each individually, I raised my voice to all of them walking away, “Go home to enjoy Easter for what it really is – NEW LIFE!  Don’t come back!  This is a sign from God!  Today is Good Friday – the day our Lord and Savior died on the cross for our sins!”  The abortion escorts were in a frenzy trying to achieve damage control, as you could imagine. I continued to “group counsel” them as they walked further and further away from this place of desolation.  Some wouldn’t turn around – but many did.  They even smiled at me!  I have no idea if any babies were saved from abortion that day, but my heart tells me there were some, and that is good enough for me. Will you join us this Friday as we share in Christ's passion and look to save lives from the tragedy of abortion? A full
Stations of the Cross prayer guide is available on our website here.

ONE WEEK LEFT TO REGISTER FOR THE 2021 LIVING COURAGE AWARDS DINNER

Are you registered to attend the Living Courage Awards Dinner on Thursday, April 22, 2021? Join us at the Pavilion Exhibit Hall at the Washington County Fair Park and Conference Center (3000 County Hwy PV, West Bend, WI 53095) for an unforgettable evening celebrating Wisconsin's pro-life heroes.

Enjoy the social hour beginning at 5:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 6:30 p.m. when we will hear from our keynote speaker, Steve Karlen. Steve first got involved in the pro-life movement as a volunteer leader with the 40 Days for Life campaign in Madison and shortly thereafter found himself at the center of a nationwide controversy. The University of Wisconsin-Madison health system was preparing to open a late-term abortion center on campus, but Steve and his wife Laura led the victorious fight alongside Pro-Life Wisconsin to oppose this barbaric plan. Steve now serves as the Campaign Director for 40 Days for Life where he trains and assists local 40 Days for Life campaign leaders, co-hosts the 40 Days for Life Podcast, and edits the 40 Days for Life Day 41 magazine. His latest book, This is When We Begin to Fight, will be available for purchase and signing upon the conclusion of the Living Courage Awards Dinner.

Our 2021 Activist of the Year, Gwen Finnegan of Madison Vigil for Life, and 2021 Legislator of the Year, Representative Chuck Wichgers will then be recognized for their outstanding efforts to defend the preborn in Wisconsin. Will you help us honor these pro-life champions? Join us for this incredible evening!

PRO-LIFE NEWS

FIRST LAWSUIT AGAINST COVID-19 VACCINE MANDATE FILED IN US: (LifeSiteNews) – “Legal challenges to COVID-19 vaccine mandates have begun in the U.S., with the first lawsuit against compulsory coronavirus vaccination filed late last month in New Mexico. Corrections officer Isaac Legaretta sued his supervisors and local officials on February 28, after New Mexico’s Doña Ana County mandated COVID-19 vaccine injections for all first responders […] ‘This is a case where the supervisor is just dead wrong. They absolutely don’t have the right to force anyone to take an experimental medical product,’ Legaretta’s attorney Ana Garner said, adding that people have ‘an absolute right to refuse’ COVID-19 vaccines.” Read the full story here.

NEW REPORT SHOWS LONG-TERM DECLINES IN TEEN PREGNANCIES AND ABORTIONS: (National Review) – “Last week, the pro-choice Guttmacher Institute released long-term data on rates of pregnancies, births, and abortions in the U.S. The national data range from 1973 to 2017 and include breakdowns by age demographics, and the state-level data range from 1988 to 2017.” Read the full story here.

PREVENTING THE SPREAD OF ASSISTED SUICIDE IN AMERICA: (Euthanasia Prevention Coalition) – “America continues to be in the grips of a COVID-19 crisis and yet state legislatures are debating the legalization and expansion of assisted suicide.” Read the full blog here.
